Thanks Roy .. I do like the Evertonians some good banter with em & a lot more level headed than their neighbours.. hmm sounds familiar ? .. Worryingly they sound like the Leicester lot pre game & look how that finished !

Hopefully our boys are wanting to prove a point, I am sure they will be.

Feeling very confident for this one.

Thank you Roy, should win this depends on which Sheffield United turns up. We'll know after fifteen, twenty minutes.

"We haven't won there in our last 10 visits" - apart from 2007, most of their squad weren't even born the last time we played Everton at the Lane! Not sure games played 30+ years ago will have a huge bearing.

Always be Everton.
Strange thing to say, I can't remember them being out of the top division.

Been in the top flight since 1954 and since their foundation in 1888, they've only spent 4 seasons out of the top flight.

Won loads of honours but nothing since the FA Cup and Charity Shield in 1995

Here's a link to their honours list https://www.evertonfc.com/club/history/honours/honours-and-records

A proud history yet they are now just a mediocre run-of-the-mill Premier League club which, I think, is the best we can hope for, most seasons if we stay in it.
Do we really want that?
Maybe getting through to the occasional 6th round or semi-final of a cup?
Maybe seeing a European Qualifying place so near yet so far and, in truth, always out of reach?
Are seasons like that better than the 4th Division championship-winning season?
Are they better than our rise from League 1 to the land of the £350,000 a week players who cheat for fun?
Where mega-bucks owners can buy their team's way to challenge for the top places?
Where, one day, our beloved game will be run on the franchise system?
Do we love having our match days moved around at the whim of the sponsoring broadcasters of which there are now several, and who are all greedily standing there with their hands in our pockets and passing most of our hard-earned cash to the super-rich players?
Is it right that there seems to be no consistency in decision-making, not only on the pitch (where VAR was supposed to have ironed all that out, hah!), but also when it comes to punishing those who transgress FFP?

The prospect of getting a free return bus ride up the road from Moortown Corner to watch Harrogate Town - on a Saturday at 3pm -, while enjoying great beer and food in the town, or even at the ground itself, pre-match, is becoming a very tempting alternative.

Don't shoot the messenger

Wow these guys are not positive are they, the comments remind me of us in league 1 with Negative Nigel at the helm!

I have a soft spot for Everton as a good mate of mine supports them. Loving the gallows humour.

Kudos to the one pointing out it's Sheff United!

One of longest-standing friends that I first met in college in 1969 is an Evertonian and, despite living in West Yorkshire ever since, remains a Toffee to this day along with his three lads. Gallows humour is dead right.

Cheers Panchero!

Thanks Roy, I think!

I really hope CWAK have made their point that performances like at Leicester are not acceptable, a reaction to that would be great to see.

Got everything crossed for this, not because of the European thing, but I'd like to finish such a fantastic effort on a high, and 6 points from these next 2 games would cap it off nicely for me!

Cheers Roy, sterling work as per 👍

Bollocks.

Why can't they be cocky over entitled twats who think they just have to turn up.
Recalling our performance at Leicester , if our players read that , it's them that'll be too cocky - I'd like to see us display some of that fight which was missing at Leicester

Yeah, definitely an inverse correlation between the cockiness of the fans and the result!
