Pre-Match View From Derby

The derby fans that didn’t see the 1st game see the goals and assume our win was lucky.

However it was ONLY the goals that were lucky.
Overall we dominated the match especially in midfield.
Derby didn’t venture into our half much and I think only had 1 shot on target they was easily saved.
The other chance they had was a long distance drive that skimmed the top of the cross bar.

Overall Derby were very underwhelming, think they under estimated us and were deservedly beaten.
A 2 goal win for United was a fair reflection of the match.

Can really do without getting gubbed by that lot tomorrow as I work with Derby fans and we have a lot of customers who follow them too.... when it suits.
Didn't rub it in at all when we beat them at The Lane & they got off lightly.
The bad news is my sister's coming with us tomorrow and we can't remember the last time she saw us win.
I'll take 2-2 and no falling out again with the mard arse Derby fans who'll be sat in front of us.
 
Its rather strange how the Pigs go around telling all and sundry how we're disliked by other clubs??
 
Think we could be on the end of a 5-0 spanking if we play like we did yesterday, easy win for Derby just a question of how many they score.
 
You would think thats it's a nailed on win for Derby but then again how many thought we would thump notlob? (I did)

If it's 3 points from 27 by tomorrow night , the owners might realize that miracles have a limited supply chain.
Even Jesus only did them every now & again - not for a season and a half.
 
I can't believe how many on here are talking of a drubbing 3, 4 or 5 nil like we're some sort of misfiring bunch of mercenaries. Yes we've had crap games this season but struggling in 6th place isn't struggling at all. We are sat 7 points off automatic 2nd place. It could have been more but Bristol Shitty got a dose of their own medicine in the 94th minute. Hurts doesn't it?

We're on a run of bad form compounded with a heavy dose of bad luck. The bad luck far outweighing the dip in form of one or two players but we all know this happens to every player at every club. Yes form is taken into the equation but this championship football is a league where everyone can beat everyone on their day.
When teams come to Bramall Lane you can see them up their standards and play well above their usual levels as did Bolton yesterday. Pride Park is no different and Chris Wilder telling his players that they're expecting a mullering is one sure way to fire up team spirit and a quick and simple message to the players is to get out there and prove the doubters wrong. At the end of the day it's down to who wants it more and if Sheffield United turn up as we know they can then a win or draw is a very real possibility.

One thing is certain and that is the players won't be criticised if the give 100% commitment that's for sure
 
After reading DB’s post I’m now predicting Clarke 2 and Donaldson 1 in a 1-3 Blades win. We will then go on a run, smash Ipswich then the pigs and be challenging for second place again.

We'll try hard as usual. But our passing and system has become slow, predictable and ponderous at times and we'll get thumped.
I'm still proud of where we are and I'm sure things will improve in the remainder of the season but our confidence needs rebuilding.
Gonna have to suck it up tomorrow i'm afraid. DC 3 - 0 Blades.

I was in the pub with a Derby fan last night and said they'd easily beat us 4/5:0. I hope I'm wrong but think we're going to get a tonking.

The thing is if we play as we can we can more than give Derby a game, I'm just a bit worried that the "nothing is going for us" mentality is creeping into the team or maybe the boardroom shenanigans are unsettling the players summat just don't seem right at the lane recently. I suppose this month will tell us a lot about whether our owners are on the same hymn sheet.

Hope I am wrong,thats laughable,you will be delighted if we get beaten today,you can then take great delight in slating Wilder non stop from around 5pm
 
I'm worried about this one. If we don't have enough threat going forward they are going to pen us in and defensively..........

If we're tired, and I assume everyone must be tired, and we can't press them and give them time on the ball, they could really hurt us. That's my worry.

Yep, minor adjustments to the board have completely derailed our season. Totally unsettling the players.
As ever it's all McCabe's fault.

I can not imagine that there have been many players at any club made unsettled by "boardroom shenanigans"
 
Derby have been winning but they aint the most expansive under GR who's firat priority is to keep it solid - they often play with 2 holding midfielders in Thorn and Ledley/Huddleston with Lawrence in a free role ala the Duffmeister. I would take a point but it won't be 5 nowt, 2 - 1 either way.
 
As long as they think they are going to win like their fans. That’s great is it not. Many teams have underestimated us. I predict a hard fought 1-1 with a distinct possibility of snatching all three points. Yep, go ahead keep underestimating us!
