They'd never won at the lane at all until last season's 'one in a million wonder strike' that went straight down Howard's throat.
and presumably out is arse and into the goal. we 'always' run into these teams on crap runs. not won since the Jurassic period etc. we always lose.

Whilst I wish us only to win tomorrow, hopefully about 5-0, I'm still going to nip into Hill's this afternoon and put £10 on a 2-0 Crewe win. I fear that with this team, I will be 'celebrating', such as it is, a win at the bookies come 5pm tomorrow.

I'm always interested by the Views From (big thanks Roygbiv), normally to see what the opposition view of us actually is. This is the first one I've read where I've felt genuinely sorry for the opposition fans. They seem like a decent bunch but the "Crewe Way" idea reminds me of the "Blades Way"...attempting to engender some misguided view of the ethos of the club while the first team slips down the football pyramid.

Good luck to the Railwaymen....from Sunday onwards.

Blades win tomorrow, PaddyPower 4/9 for the boys from Sheffield to come away with 3 points, Pile in!

If we loose this I can see some more season tickets going in the bin,;), I will go for a resounding 6-0 victory.

And only a couple of years ago many of us saw Davis as a potential replacement for DW1.

“The Chronicle’s fan opinion piece was laughable this week. Saying how we should be grateful we have a club to support. That’s right, you just keep happy clapping us all the way to the Conference under the unsackable Steve Davis. Another mentioned he’s had no money to spend, well when he had money he wasted it on crap, then after his spending sprees, he’s sold no players for a decent amount of money since Murph and he’s had no cup income whilst we’ve failed on the pitch and faced relegation past two seasons and this one, he went over-budget last season when his permanent signings once again failed so how can he expect money when he hasn’t used it wisely in the first place? The fact a sizable minority of fans would rather us fail with Davis rather than change and see what happens sums up the pathetic mentality of some of our fans. In their eyes, as long as the town has a football club they’ll clap and never protest even if we go down with a record low points total because we’re a “special” club with a “stable and secure board and although it’d be nice if the board could tell us things now and again I have every ounce of trust in them.”. That’s what I saw one fan say, I wonder what would happen if his bank manager decided to withhold details of where the money was going in his accounts? Would he trust them then? No, so why does he trust this board and management to get our current predicament right?
When we’re in the Conference, these happy clappers will be the first to say “I wish we’d sacked Davis earlier to give ourselves half a chance of surviving in the league.” and it’ll happen. And those fans would fully deserve to watch us playing pub teams in the Conference. Shame those who want a bit of pride and excitement in the club are the ones who are going to suffer in the near future. “

LOL he could be talking about the crackpot clappers who follow Sheffield United. :D:D:D

If we expect to get promotion we have to win these games, I wont get carried away if we win as I didn't against Fleetwood. It's the games against teams of the Millwall type that we struggle against physically and mentally, good luck with that Nigel.

I know! However, having seen most of our away games this season, as I said earlier, I fear I may win some money.
..........you ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Think of me and my [away] mate freezing our bollocks off at the always wet and miserable Gresty Rd:(

There's a very good chippy outside the ground by all accounts. That'll be my first port of call tomorrow. I just hope it isn't the highlight of the trip!

Don't say that they'll be a shitstorm on here if we lose

I dread to think what that'll be like. Loads of "I'm Done With United" threads, "Adkins Out", "I'm Going To Top Myself And I'm Taking Jim Phipps With Me".

Saying that, there'll still be a shitstorm if we don't win by at least two clear goals!

You won't be disappointed mate. We could win 5-0 tomorrow and the curry from that chippy will still be the highlight of the day. It's that good!
