Fill in the blanks...

“ The whole team was crap on XXXXX because XXXXX effectively nullified us and we resorted long ball hoofs to XXXXX, who won nothing “

Sounds familiar?

“i was just reading some Sheff Utd forums and nearly all of the commented on his great work rate and what i really liked was that someone described him as ‘having ince in his veins’. Could be out injured for ages, come back, get one chance and score. Composure in front of goal is one thing we have really been missig.”

Is this Chris Porter they are talking about? ...really!?!!

They certainly didn't get that from this forum! :D

If Utd set-up like they did on Saturday and Colchester have Porter isolated up front, there is only one outcome - 0-0.

Could be the worst, least entertaining game ever.

Cheers for the Porter-fest...let's see if we can 'bounce back'...again.. :(

I think i remember the "ice in his veins" comments, on here somewhere. It was when referred to his penalty taking ability.

Is there a dafter Blades forum than Bladesman?

Link please.

Must win game, three teams can go above us tomorrow leaving us us 11th in the third division. Fleetwood, Peterborough and whoever wins between Rochdale and Walsall. How low have we sunk and cloughie says automatic IS still possible :(

“At last, Porter is someone who looks old enough to play mens football. He will feel like a grandad in that changing room! ''

I know what they mean ,I was in Blyth services last year when the Colchester team came in on their way to a game. I swear some of them were playing tiggy ,I thought it was their junior team at first ,but seeing Clinton Morrison and a look at that nights fixtures confirmed it wasn't.

He would say that wouldn't he Thank you Mandy

Colchester have won two drawn two of their last 4 away games.

Over the last 10 games their record is: W3 D2 L4.. Ours is: W2 D4 L4.

There is the "Porter factor".

Mid February and we do not know what to expect against Colchester. In fact we will be mightily relieved with a win. This is one of only two home games in the six remaining fixtures in February.

From acorns grow major oaks. We need a win and to use that as a start to a good run of results. We need a strong finish to the season to make the play-offs. Personally I am keeping everything crossed for a win because I fear the crowd will turn tonight if we blow it again and that solves nothing.

You can currently get 11/2 for a Colchester win this evening. Bet Victor are not sharing our pessimism. And while I remain poor and little assistance offered to my plight by my Turf Accountants, I believe we should be looking forward to this evenings match as the start of the rest of the season.

Might have a sneaky fiver on the 11/2 though, just in case...

The first comment made me chuckle.

What team should we put out against Sheff United on Tuesday?
Swindons':) Even though we beat Swindon i thought the comment was great.

Another person said we've been very good at home this seasono_O Which season is he or she talking about?

I liked the comment that asked if Porter only scores spectacular goals.

A video of his tap-ins for us suggests he never scored a spectacular one, he saved them up for his move to Essex.

“Nice to have a forward who can win flick-ons, but held the ball up well and brought other players in”

He sounds exactly what we need. Is this mysterious 'Porter' available to sign?

Please don't let Porter score. It was infuriating enough when Oldham came to the Lane and Jonathon Forte ran our defence ragged.
