Know what you're saying, just being pedantic about them referring to us as a bottom team after two games and us being mid table.to be fair so far the 3 teams Roys reviewed have been respectful of us, can't wait for the bile the pigs spew prior to our game.
we have just been promoted after 6 years, we, on paper, should be viewed by Brentford, boro & Cardiff as beatable. I hope we are in the prem in 6 years from now,but if were not and we don't expect to beat a newly promoted team then i will be disappointed
no your right tho, bottom 3 is a little insulting.Know what you're saying, just being pedantic about them referring to us as a bottom team after two games and us being mid table.
The bile the pigs spew before and after the game will be hilarious, especially if we beat them.
Roy will have his work cut out for sure, hope he leaves it 'till the next day though to give them time to spontaneously combust just after venting all the bile and hatred.
Mendez-Laing was one I wanted us to sign and he needs to be watched. Cardiff benefit from recently being in the prem and the finances that come with it. Under Warnock they've spent well and they're outsiders for the play-offs for sure. It will be tough tomorrow but it will be more of an old fashioned Championship game from Cardiff. We know what to expect to be fair! They'll hit the flanks early and hit us with pace and crosses in the box. Nothing wrong with that and we need to be aware that Warnock's wing play (not personally!) will be good and it'll be a tough task for Stevens and Freeman. I fancy us though to cause them problems and I think we'll be well up for this game, as we always are, but this one has an obvious edge to it!
Both got trousers from jacamo.
You say that you think we'll cause them problems. Where do you see us doing this? Please don't see this as being facetious; it is a genuine question, but I look at our squad and I see little that will cause decent second tier teams problems. We'll no doubt work hard and might nick a goal or two, but we don't seem to have the pace or technical prowess in our line up to cause teams sustained problems.
This is the point I was getting at in another thread regarding our business to date. We haven't really signed a game changer that will give other teams something to worry about; just squad players and gambles.
This may come across as negative, but I want what's best for our club and I think our first team needs improvement for us to be clear of the drop this season.
Hard work can only get us so far and players can only play above their natural level of performance for so long.
After years out of this league we need to build up rivalries with these teams again. That was all a bit nice wasn't it? Where's the baiting?
Cheers Roy!
I know neil with his high waisters on.
Was that about 78 ish LE remember the result but. Was a tad too young for away games then ? My last visit to Ninian Pk a certain Mr Webber got us promoted helped nullify the pain of my previous visit to the Millennium StadiumCheers Roy
I,ll be happy with a point from this mind i thought that on my last trip there and we won 6-1
Long time ago!
It's terrible, like a politician holding a baby. Doesn't Vincent know how hot he's gonna get playing footie with a Malaysian knock off Savile Row copy under his kit.I know neil with his high waisters on.
Its early days mate but I think the central two of Fleck and Coutts will match most central mid field partnerships. Coutts and Fleck compliment each other well and I think as the season goes on we'll see those two get the better of most of their oppos. On the flanks Baldock and Stevens will adjust to this level and I think Baldocks pace will be imperative.I think Baldock will get in the team over Freeman in time. Same with Ched over Clarke. When we get used to this level we'll improve with games I believe. Where there are weaknesses I think we'll sign reinforcements in January. As for tomorrow and the short term, I think our defence will prove to be solid and if we get service to Billy and Clarke or Ched, we'll get goals. I think we'll surprise a few to be honest and the confidence and the will to prove we are worthy of this league will prove to be invaluable.
Obviously Cardiff are favourites tomorrow but I think you'll see a reaction to Saturdays disappointment. If we can score first we will be hard to break down. If not we've seen us come back from behind on countless times.

What chest size are those trousers
“three wins in a row, a great manager and so much positivity”
Surely not!
Warnock's in charge
Ssssh - best not tell the others that someone else rates him as a manager.
Shrewd as ever, Mendez-Laing could prove the signing of the season.
Is it just me or did anyone else reading that hear it in their head with a welsh accent?
I often reminisce about all the shrewd signings our Niel made.
I often ponder lifes little mysteries. Like how the fuck did Ade Akinbuyi command the fees that he did.
Any striker that has a decent season can command a large fee. If it's to a Prem club, even if he doesn't fekall, he'll still be of value.
Trevor Benjamin went for decent money based on a few lower league seasons.
Bolton had a player (played for England too but the name escapes me) that commanded a decent fee and was never seen again.
Akinbiyi is worth his weight in gold for THAT GOAL.
That's the oneMichael Ricketts.
