I think you've cracked it. How many theres and theirs used correctly can be slotted into one sentence
With hindsight I could have started with ‘There’s their theres (those theirs there that Roy…etc)

If we’d lost 0-3 on Thursday I doubt there would be a single blade even remotely optimistic
they are right with 1 thing. 1st goal is very important. if we get it will be very comfortable. if they get it, it would be very stressful

I’m not sure I totally agree to be fair.

We’ve finished 22 points ahead of them. There’s enough experience between wilder and the players not to shit the bed if they do score.

If we found ourselves 2-0 before half time then it becomes quite nervy and means the tactics / game plan hasn’t worked and we need to adjust.

We’ve played them 3 times this season. Haven’t lost. Scored 6 goals and conceded twice.

There’s a fairly good chance we score, as we’ve averaged two a game against them this season.

We’re at home. They’re light defensively. I’m pretty confident we’ll get the job done professionally without taking stupid risks ahead of a potential final.

I think we’ll defend well, stay compact. Allow them a bit of the ball and catch them out a few times going the other way. Doesn’t need to be massively entertaining. Professional and efficient will do.

I do agree, only thing I’d add to that is that if Bristol City score first, as much as I think the team won’t be overly worried, the crowd will get nervous, it’s what we do!

Half the match day thread piss the bed before a ball is kicked usually

We should expect them to come out all guns blazing because it’s their only option.

They might score. If they do, it’s still an uphill battle and we’ll play our part.

im fully expecting to go through, but as famous phrase, football isnt played on paper look at Plymouth v Liverpool in the FA cup. there is not 1 person who wouldve given bottom of the championship a shot v champions of England. or the leeds v derby play off semi with frank lampard. leeds i believe had won all 3 meetings & led the 4th at half time that season 8-1 on agg. we all know what happened by the end

but underestimate anyone at your peril. we can only beat outselves at this point. if we start the game thinking its already job done. we could be in trouble

"After more anticipation, excitement and dreaming of what could be since may 2008, Friday was a huge disappointment. Everything went wrong, and coming away I was pretty despondent."

That sounds like it could be an excerpt from my diary after losing my virginity. (Or probably more accurately what my then girlfriend would have written in hers)

ah the big physical sheffield united "are really effective from set pieces" shite....

Couldn't be further from the truth.

Let them have their hope before kick off.

After kick off, they are in for a world of pain as United will win on the night again. Comfortably. I'm not in the slightest bit worried about Monday and that's coming from someone who has seen United snatch defeat from the jaws of victory so many times in my life. Professional job and easy win incoming.

I was saying (yesterday morning)....

Some are beyond pessimistic in their outlook. It was always going to be a professional performance tonight from Utd.

Bumped into some Bristol City fans who were asking for directions to the Crucible after the match. 4 or 5 dad's with their kids who've bunked off school to get up here. Class acts, all wished us well in the final and said that game was the best atmosphere they've seen this season 👏

All credit to so many of them making the trip up, which was almost guaranteed to only go one way. 👏
