When I lived in Brighton they were playing at Gillingham in front of a couple of thousand. Then they moved to the Withdean which I think was only around a 5/6k capacity. They’re now getting large attendances so I can only assume these new fans are quite new to football.

To be fair to all opposition supporters we are exceeding ours and more so their expectations in spectacular manner. Fully earned and merited, in fact we've done better than our points tally suggests.

As regards easy fixtures, the average league position of all our opponents is 11th. The average position of all our away opponents so far is 12th. Can't be more median difficulty than that!

I think we'll win this game and that is a warning sign but we are so hard to play against. If Brighton match our workrate and organisation and effective partnerships all over the pitch they might beat us but they will have to play above themselves and be far more clinical than they have been.

In the 4 seasons we have had wilder there has only been 3 easy( biggish) wins for the opposing team Southend 3-0 home (beginning of his reign)
Middlesboro 3-0 away(getting used to the championship 2nd or 3rd game in)
Wolves 3-0 away (one of the best championship teams in yonks)
We haven't lost away since January and we've only lost one game in 10
And we've lost just the 1game by more than 1 goal this season .
These Seagulls aren't nicking our fish & chips Saturday !

I don’t blame opposition fans for having an incorrect or outdated view of our playing style, I know we have been getting some publicity but most fans don’t care.

To my shame, I have no real knowledge of Brightons style except that they have become better to watch under Potter and that’s about it, I’ll lose interest until we play them again.

For what it’s worth, the guy who made the post Warnock, attractive football comment must have been a Blades fan or perhaps Roy inserted some of his own views
