Can't stand Bournemouth, wont ever forget their weak as piss full back screaming like a little girl when he got tackled in front of the south stand the other year. Think he was called Rico or Chico or something, some feat that, getting the whole of Bramall Lane to hear you scream your delicate little head off. Summed up the Premier League for me that...no tackles allowed please we are vastly paid, very important, spent all Friday in the salon being preened premier league footballers.
Good post mate, all premiership players are cry babies but 2 clubs stood out more for the screaming antics Bournemouth and palace

Thanks Roy.

I used to like Bournemouth when they were a little family club. Thing is they still are, but have MASSIVE delusions of grandeur.

Agree…they are historically one of the smallest clubs in league football spending the bulk of their history in the 3rd tier. They are much smaller than Barnsley, Rotherham and even Doncaster.

They are massively over achieving just by being in the Championship. However it’s common that when a club over achieves the fans normalise it with expectations massively increasing. You can bet after 2 or 3 years Brentford fans will be thinking they are a genuine big club.

Honesty think we will win this one and put down a big marker for all the other clubs to realise were on the right track to get back up.

Boro were celebrating like theyd won the league when they went in front against us as they knew that they were crap and we set off by passing the ball really quickly around them (it all unravelled as we now know) but also we havent yet found the right midfield to cut out the oppo runners from trotting past the statuettes in the centre and bearing down on our exposed defenders.

Slav will sort this out Im sure by bringing in Giedoura to add bite and athleticism and protection to the centre along with Fleck or Norwood (but not both) who are just about passable if alongside someone more mobile.

Would be a great lift for us all as well as B'Mouth are unbeaten as yet.

Yep that will be our downfall.

I wish Slav would try a combo of the old formation and his formation.

I too think its worth looking at the back three with Bash brought back in alongside Egan and and Davies and Geddy and Ossy together in CM with MWG and Ndiaye in front of them in free roles. For the tough away trips at least

3-4-2-1 formation?

“Still can’t see past a Fulham WBA top two.hope I’m wrong. Even if it’s not us who gets in there, just for the sake of competitiveness it would be nice if one of the top two spots went to a side that’s not either of them or Sheffield United. The whole point of the championship is that anybody should be able to achieve the dream, parachute payments are ruining the game at this level. What is the point if the relegated sides just get promoted every year?

Odd comment given Bournemouth are still in receipt of parachute payments themselves! Also doubtful this guy was complaining about how unfair life is when Bournemouth got promoted a few years ago by completely disregarding financial fair play rules!

Pigs went there and got a result last season so it's not beyond the realms of possibility...

Tad bemused re comments re Brooks :
They won’t miss him; we’d have in back in a flash
They’ve watched him every week (that’s he’s been fit / selected)
We’ve seen him -?🤔
On what basis should we look at him (ever) returning ? - I just don’t get this (naive) nostalgic yearning for former players
Perhaps the solution to our midfield woes is the exhumation of Trevor Hockey?

I'd gladly take a draw from this game, ideally without any shocking defending on our part
If we get support from midfield it will help if Fleck aka the invisible man plays and Norwood we are in trouble

The first football game I went to was against Bournemouth. I think we lost 2:1.

A point would be a very good result for us.

Brentford reached that point 3 or 4 seasons ago; look back at the pre-match view from the first game of the season when we were due to play them at our place. All so confident that the little newly promoted upstarts would get a rude awakening against the mighty Bees. That worked out well.

That would get the fans back: the zombiefied remains staggering round the middle of the pitch mumbling “braaaaiiinssss” would give the game some much needed pizzazz as well as improving our mobility in that area.

Can see them pummelling us 3-0. Solanke too much for Ben Davies, Billing will outclass and outwork our midfield and after 3 games in a week Sharp will do well to stand vertical tomorrow.

Sheff Utd, one of the favourites at the start of the season are imploding.

1 defeat in 6, I hope we can implode like that all the way through the remainder of season
The teams we beat were awful, even worse than us. Boro we’re our toughest test and we failed. We’re bottom half championship quality I’m afraid.

Why would we want glass legs Brooks back? Only plays 50% of games. We already have Mousset and Berge to do that job for us.....

I think we are better than that and hopefully will add in the JTW.
Having said that our only three wins were against the bottom three sides !

It's where Russian money gets you, changed their name to AFC Bournemouth just to be alphabetically top of the English football club list, pissed myself when good old Accrington Stanley got back in the league

They beat us 1-0 at the Lane on the first day of 1987-8. It was their first game in the second tier after 50 plus seasons in the 3rd and 4th tiers.

That’s the only time they have ever beaten us. Our record is W10 D5 L1 in the league, and we won the only cup game.

We are unbeaten in 8 games away, which is our longest current run at any away ground.

I will be surprised if we avoid defeat tomorrow.

At least we can rotate Billy if he’s knackered given the pedigree of strikers ready to take up the mantle … oh. …. Bugger.

But for THAT "goal" against Villa, things might have been very different; we could have been playing Villa tomorrow instead......

Bournemouth.. Without a Russian owner are and have always been a quirky league 1 (division 3) club...

Thier fans make me laugh, they know that the club are nobodies in the history of English football...

"Hey let's see how Bournemouth have gone on today" - said nobody.

From a team still in receipt of parachute payments 🤔 🤔 🤔

“On his current trajectory, he looks like seeing out his contract and signing for someone like Millwall or Nottingham Forest”

It’s amazing how some fans turn all Billybigbollox after a bit of success. Bournemouth fans talking about Forest like they’re a lower league club in comparison to them 😂
