Cheers Panchero!

Massive comparison to last season’s comments when there was a strong strand of arrogance running through them. We certainly put that to bed last season at the Lane didn’t we?

I’m always weary of Boro, particularly away from home but after last seasons game we should have them against the ropes, we do have quality but do we have the gel this early on? Debatable at the moment.

Anyhow, full house in the away end, as per, not sure what that lad is on about Boro having a better away support than us, from what I can tell we’re pretty similar and fair play to both sets of fans in this climate.

Wasn't out away following the biggest in the division last season ?
I think it was Boro by about 3 fans above our average. You could argue we'd have been top if we'd not had all them games moved around Christmas - missed out on massive away followings to Fulham and Preston.

But we got a far higher average home attendance.

Middlesbrough have better away support than the club with the largest home and away following in the division last season?

So far this season we have sold out Watford, which was a Monday night Sky fixture and brought 1750 to West Brom for a League Cup game on a Thursday night.

I can definitely see a flaw to his argument...

Literally could be playing a team down at Goals and it wouldn't matter if its not at Bramall Lane nil poi.

Thanks Roy. Nothing like a bit of confidence at the start of the season from the Boro contingent.
Their fans reaction will be interesting when we win. Proper pressure season for CW.

We were top of the away averages all season

Then on the last match of the season they took over 5K to Preston, who have one of the biggest away ends in the division.
This meant they pipped us by 3.

Boro are probably worse than us for fickleness.
When they’re doing well, they are capable of excellent home and away support, they can be a well supported club
but when they have a few defeats, their home and away support drops off.

There seems to be a sense that wilders honeymoon period is coming to an en end, the match itself seems to be dependent on which Sheffield united side turns up, if it's the stop em scoring one we'll lose, if it's the up and at em, go for it one we'll win. I agree with one of their posters when he said that a season can't be defined by the first couple of games
Thanks Roy
