Understandable why the Bolton lot are pretty razzed off.

10 years in the Premier League beating the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United every once in a while, a League Cup Final and then reaching the last 16 of the UEFA Cup.

But now reduced to scrapping for 2nd place in the third division.

That's gotta hurt.

The Full stadium comment is hilarious. They couldnt fill it when they were in the premier league nevermind a fa cup 2nd round game

Sorry. I know that I've been around for a while PN but I've got to admit I'm still not fully up to date with the various ambiguities of this forum.

Do you post it as it is or is your tongue firmly in your cheek? If it's the latter I find you really funny mate, but I daren't say too much till I'm 100% sure. ;)

They once asked Fred Dibnah how fast his steam roller went.

He said, from memory "four pints an hour" which linked to the number of times he stopped for a pint on route.

I liked Fred he was a good egg.

There's a Bolton 'fan' where I work. He supports Man U...

Sums them up for me. It's not really a football town but it has a club that has punched a long way above its weight in recent years on the back of having a particularly wealthy and benevolent owner. Without that advantage, they'll gradually find their proper level.

This season, they have had a good start but the ongoing stories about their finances strongly suggest that they are still living beyond their means. Still cheating, basically, in an all or nothing attempt to get back up straight away. Presumably, they are running short of cash because they have retained players on Championship contracts and refused to cut their cloth in the Summer. Parkinson must have been lured by a pretty packet too, given the past comments of the Bradford City chairman.

As mentioned by a few others, though, it can turn for teams that are sneaking narrow wins. Looking at the reports and stats from Bolton's matches to date, they rarely, if ever, dominate games. Some sides, like Charlton in our first season down in this division, manage to keep this up for a whole season but the lack of goals more often than not catches up with teams (like it did with us in Wilson's second season). Parkinson has always played this attritional, safety-first game, and at Bradford it always caught up with them towards the end of the season.

They called United "complete bottlejobs" Didn`t Bolton get relegated last season?, completely "bottling" almost every game.
Tossers not Trotters
I think we have bottled it over the last five season. We simply couldnt handle the pressure of being promotion favourites every year since relegation.

I also came across this the other day: http://lionofviennasuite.sbnation.c...when-theyre-not-even-the-biggest-in-sheffield

If you clicked the link I'm sure your immediate reaction is to dismiss the obvious attempt at trolling and close the page, but I'd implore you to read it all and really remember that some Bolton fan actually sat down and set out to write this thing.

Really visualise this actual real-life human-being doing that.

The mind boggles.

Well we can always voice our view directly to him.

Obviously a trolling no mark.

Feed him not.

I agree and it seems like there is not much point with these muppets. Especially if this twitter exchange is anything to go by:

(Remember this person writes articles for SB Nation)

A good way of getting attention acting like a complete twat on the internet. As you would expect once you offer one these cunts out for a face to face chat they don't step up.

I'm surprised by how old he is. For some reason I just assumed he was some 17 year old wannabe journalist who imagines himself as Hunter Thompson whilst he types up angry webpages about Bolton Wanderers and then gets into arguments in the comments section.

This guy will have received more attention from this than for anything he else he will have written before so is likely to write more troll articles in the future. Katie Hopkins has somehow made a career of it

If you're aspiring to be a ten bob Katie Hopkins though then you should feel very ashamed with yourself

I do agree they're related, although I always find myself drawn in by them - in intrigue rather than anger. Perhaps I'm simply too immature to avoid having a peek.

I feel the same way about king troll Katie. The thing with all these trolls is that they are so consistent in having contentious views that wind people up.

Every now and then you meet a person who has opinions that really provoke a reaction - some real arseholes have two or three - but I just find the concept of a person who genuinely has the single most contentious opinion on every subject totally unrealistic. I'm not pretending that I'm the first person who's considered that she just writes the most inflammatory shit, but for me that's the the factor that completely breaks the illusion and makes it impossible to treat trolls as I would people.

I've completely rambled off-topic. I find internet trolls quite fascinating.

I always feel a bit sorry for those who say things like "Katie says the truth" because they really don't understand that she doesn't believe those things herself.

Yeah, Donald Trump for example.

Odd rant that. I can't say I've thought much about them otherwise. Let's kick their stupid fat lardy Lancastrian arses Blades

Where do Bolton Wanderers play?

He says The Reebok.
"So this weekend Bolton Wanderers welcome Sheffield United to the Reebok in a Second Round FA Cup tie."

The club say The Macron.
"Kicking off at 2pm at Macron Stadium, admission on the day of the game can be found at the following turnstiles"

and here he is leading the Far Right in their demo against the Antifa of Bolton.
Man in grey with orange coat.
