Bit deluded though.

There’s absolutely no reason for them to fancy their chances.

Lest we not forget the last time we were at home we hammered their more illustrious neighbours.

Smarting from an unjust defeat, this has to be a game we win. Unless the Lundstram effect kicks in once more.

Bash to mid, Stears to cb if no Fleck.3 points. Maybe a consolation for Jug Ears.

Agree 100% with those changes, even if we lose a bit of marauding down the right, there’s more chance of a clean sheet and we ought to score a couple you would think

cheers Roy,

got bad feelings about this ! They haven't won yet and the old 2 'winnable' home games in a week thing

Anyone know the last time we won 2 home games on the spin in the same week ?!

fingers crossed still should put them to the sword !

They used all their luck up last year. It was similar to Bristol city but bristol city were better attacking. birmingham 1 shot from 35yds got a draw

They have looked dangerous and the boy Jota looks very quick and he was the one who killed us last season at St andrews Im worried about this one !

yes I would go with that as well

"A cold Wednesday night in Sheffield" - it's going to be about 15 degrees at kickoff. Birmingham clearly much closer to the equator than I thought!

TBF, this fixture was absolutely bloody freezing last year. We have thermostat wars in our house. The msz likes it 2 or 3 degrees hotter than I do, so I usually come in the house, turn down the heating and open all the doors and windows. There was no complaining from me when we got in that night!

According to google maps it's less than 80 miles from St Andrews to BTDBL according to a Brummie it's in a different climatic zone.

They're not wrong to be fair.

I've watched them a couple of times on the box this season and they've been very unlucky on both occasions (Swansea and WBA). Admittedly, both of those matches were at home so it'll be interesting to see how they play away.

3 points for the men in red and white tomorrow and Saturdays result is forgotten.

That Sky red button malarkey really is the thin end of the wedge. One day every game will be televised and crowds will be decimated.
Shite, utter shite.
It will affect crowds and you are right every game will be on TV that’s what the extra card slot was for on the original Sky box but the tech couldn’t handle it. The tech is up there now and within two or three seasons all games will be live including Saturday afternoons. This happened a few years ago with American football and crowds dropped initially but after a couple of seasons crowds went up and are now higher than before the live games were offered it brought in folks who had never been interested until watching it on their big screens and they started to go to games and attendances rocketed and have maintained that level. How it works in the States on pay per view cost into the ground average around $40 average per game once a punter pays online $8 the club gets $6 Everytime from a worldwide audience. Away from the grounds it becomes a numbers game. Twenty exciled Blades fans I know in the States sixteen of them yes sixteen will buy every game, that’s a fair chunk of revenue to United from supporters who would rarely get to the Lane. Uniteds fan base is worldwide. The service will have to be first class though as some of the American football games are already broadcast in 4k, flawless unlike what I am told ifollow is like. Sky will probably run it and it will happen, why? Simple answer “Money”

Yep. We'll be lucky to record 23k for this one with the reality of there only being about 20k in the ground.

It’s a sad indictment of fans if that’s the case too tbh. I don’t live near Sheffield, but if I did there’s absolutely no way I’d watch on TV rather than head to the game. For me this is providing an opportunity to watch a game that I wouldn’t have ordinarily watched.

I know our ticketing is ok for tomorrow, but plenty of clubs won’t be, so my hope from this is that we’ll see a reduction in ticket prices in general.

Think Small Heath's goylie - Stockdale ? had a good game, like a few GK's did at the Lane.

Bit surprised there are no negative comments towards Duffy following his goal celebration in front of their fans at their place at the end of last season.
