But we've got CoulibalyThis can't be right..
20 players OUT
10 players IN
Genuinely, who the **** is going to take him permanently or on loan? He's utter garbage. Is Grbic going??
Patrick thistle refused to pay 50 quid a week towards him for a loan..Is Grbic going??
he didn’t say that exactly.. said other teams have the price they need to hit for other outgoings..Not ideal, but things can quickly change, who knows someone we can get might become available later today.
On the positive side, saying no outgoings (other than Slimane and Trusty) is good news as hopefully that puts some of peoples fears about Hamer and Arblaster to bed.
We've spent all of the money that we've made so far. It's gone on transfer fees, loan fees, wages, signing on fees, agents fees.Epic clusterfuck. Who is running SUFC and why is there no new money despite all the sales, loan outs and minimal outlay? Are we getting teed up for a Arblaster/Hamer sale. With the status quo do we have a choice? We need 3-5 players.
Funny thing about playing youngsters, when you have ones like Marsh and Hampson who struggled against Barnsley, playing them in short cameos with several first team players around them might make them play better than they would when surrounded by similar players.Souttar and Moore are big presences in the dressing room and will help the 4 youngsters who have been promoted to the first team squad in addition to Brooks and Arblaster, presumably Marsh, Peck, Sereki and Hampson?
Sounded positive moving forward although he has little alternative as I suspect he was hoping some of Trustys fee could be spent today.
Listened to it in full. Interesting at the end he thanked the journos for not being too hard on him and then told SUTV to turn the link off so suspect some off the record comments going on.
CW said its his job to push for recruitment but he accepts he will not always get what he wants. Implies there has been some rug pulling going on after last weeks " their are replacements lined up if we lose anyone."
Said our players have prices but offers have not met these. Mentioned again those up the road, not by name( Weeds Scum) saying they were low balling us with the offer for Hamer. He talked up the big 3 Anel, Souza and Hamer with regard to their professional attitude. Anel played on Tuesday after being ill in bed for 6 days.
All the remaining squad were "all in" unlike the 2 who had left. Scathing about Slimane refusing to play at 4.30 on Tuesday less so about Trusty who said he wanted to go to Celtic.

Don't let common sense and grown up thinking get in the way. That's not how things are done round here! We've spent all of the money that we've made so far. It's gone on transfer fees, loan fees, wages, signing on fees, agents fees.
You've also got to remember that fees received are paid over the length of the players contract, so that has to be factored into the budget too. You don't get it in a lump sum anymore. If you did then transfer fees would drop and English football would be a lot more responsible financially and easier to regulate. If you haven't got the money then you can't spend it. Like it used to be.
£10mil for Osula over a 5 year contract is £2mil per year. We bought Burrows for £3.5mil on a 4 year deal, so we owe Peterborough £875k per season, leaving us with £1.125mil profit per season. If he's on £10k per week then that's £2mil in wages over the four years. That's another £520k gone from the remaining Osula profit from season one of the contracts to pay for Burrows wages, and that doesn't include signing on fees, agents fees etc. The money dissappears quickly.
So it's not all that simple. A £10mil fee for Osula barely covers the £3.5mil for Burrows when you factor everything else in the grand scheme. Arguably we'll have some residual funds for Burrows in this example from Osula's wages at Sheffield United and we also don't know if Burrows is on £10k per week. This was just used as an example.
I don't get this at all, the sale price and length of contract are surely not related. We've spent all of the money that we've made so far. It's gone on transfer fees, loan fees, wages, signing on fees, agents fees.

Unfortunately it is the way it works these days and it is what happens. It's why football is a mess and for a while there were teams like Man City buying players on 8 year contracts to lower their outgoings so that they avoided FFP punishments.I don't get this at all, the sale price and length of contract are surely not related.
Once a price has been agreed with the selling club, they have no say in the length of contract and wages that are offered to the player.
On contrary, it's a pretty rudimentary principle of finance and asset mgmt. It's how transfer fees are negotiated and why it's not as simple as us fans believe.I don't get this at all, the sale price and length of contract are surely not related.

Can't see that. We've netted £15 million and got rid of 20 off the wage bill and brought in 10 unless we are paying some f*cking huge wages all of a sudden. We've spent all of the money that we've made so far. It's gone on transfer fees, loan fees, wages, signing on fees, agents fees.
Anyone got a link to the audio?
Souttar and Gilchrist won't be cheap plus we extended some contracts last season and renewed some this summer. You've also not allowed for the wage bill cash flow reducing due to relegation, so we have less money to pay the remainder with compared to last season, even with reduced wages. Can't see that. Presumably if a big sale happened we could’ve replaced. That's not what Wilder was saying last week. Someone has obviously pissed on his chips in the meantime.
I've covered that in my Osula/Burrows example. All true Tony, but remember, we receive fees in instalments, we pay out fees in instalments. It’s not one way traffic
I kind of factored that into the fact we got over 100 million in TV money last year and spent about 25 million of it, whereas Burnley spent most of it. Also the 45 million in parachute payments this year and we've spent - £15 million .Souttar and Gilchrist won't be cheap plus we extended some contracts last season and renewed some this summer.
