The questions that get asked during these interviews are dire week in week out.
Hecky handles it really well for me. Always answers in a calm logical manner. Almost like he’s explaining how the World works to a child!
But good God! The questions that were put to MGW were shocking! Felt to me like he was trying to get into his head! Not what we need right now on the eve of the biggest shootout in football! I accept piss poor journalism… but not when it’s upsetting MGW’s mojo!

I don't think it's right for managers to be asked questions about individual players. Some things should be kept private.
When Jimmy Hagan was manager of Benfica he became known as "Mr No Comment". That was a long time ago, of course, but it would be interesting if a few managers said it today.

I'm afraid that this is not just an SUFC problem. Listen to any footballer or Manager being interviewed and they are all asked the same inane pat questions to which we all know roughly (if not precisely) what they are going to answer. Most are the usual trite expressions that they all come out with. Plus they are all trained in dealing with media so they know to keep their cool.

I know what you mean. It’s awful isn’t it.
I was just particularly annoyed by MGW’s interview today though cos it felt like the interviewer was messing with his head. I want to see nothing but praise to ensure it’s nothing but positive vibes
