Interesting to see some Middlesbrough fans moaning about lack of investment... They're joking presumably!?

Can’t help but feel a bit apprehensive about this one.

Seems to be a constant running theme at the minute with everyone saying we’re not that good and we’re going to drop off and yet we’ve spent 3 months absolutely ravaged by injuries and are still right up there.

We’ve performed pretty poorly for the last 3/4 games but think a result and a decent performance to go with it would go a long way towards reassuring some of the fan base.

“The biggest worry I have, is not Sheff Utd, but us and our defence.”
So who is he worried will score against them and their defence, the ref, a supporter?”
What a daft comment.

I don’t know about anyone else but I love not being the fancied side. We have accumulated the same points as Leeds, and 5 more than Burnley, but no-one seems to recognise it.

This season it seems that a majority of fans think that their own team is poor, including us. What has gone wrong with optimism ?

Thanks Roy. Love this one...

"I’m not scared of Sheff Utd. I know they’re 2nd, but I think that’s because the league this season is extremely weak in comparison to previous years"

What does that say about them in this extremely weak season when they are 20 points behind us?

Not looking forward to tomorrow as I think we will start off nervously as will the crowd. Going for a draw tomorrow, but please let it be a win instead :)

Considering they beat us at their place as well and we’ve had -2 points.

There was another that also mentioned that were due a wobble… we’ve had a couple of wobbles and also had some inconsistency as well.

But to go back what I’ve also said, we’ve still picked up the most wins so far this season. Madness when we’re boring and crap 😂

We also seem to have undergone the largest re-build and suffered some of the worst injuries.

2 key players with season enders. Souza, Hamer, Campbell, Moore, Davies all players that get into most teams in this division and all of them have missed a lot of football.

It’s amazing that we’re where we are to be honest

100%

Wilders getting a few peters for the performance but our current placement and points total is remarkable.

I was hoping for a play off push this season with the scale of the rebuild.

It would be nice now we have everyone available to stick to a system and play with a little more tempo and intensity but a lot of the criticism is harsh, even if the performances haven’t been great / easy on the eye.

I don’t follow too much of the nonsense as it’s often reactive. Sure we’ve had some poor games but even Liverpool lost to Plymouth, City are finding life tough this year. Not comparing ourselves to them, but just examples

As you say, the big rebuild left us wondering how this season would pan out and the uncertainty at the club with the takeover and finances to get us to the start of the season was something else.

But we’re here, in a good position and having conceded so few after last seasons defensive calamity.

Thanks Roy, Wilder said in the post interview Satday that he called a meeting of the players yesterday to discuss performance, attitude etc lets hope this has cleared the air and got everyone on the same page. Ideally would have thought we will see a different better performance tomorrow. Plus when we win I can goad it over a Boro mate.

I actually think this game could define how the rest of our season goes.

It's a game we SHOULD win if we are serious about promotion, particularly top 2. If we don't win I feel it's a sign that we're actually not good enough and it'll end up in play off misery.

If the Boro left back is awful we need Rak-Sayki to go at him, get in the box then give it to Cannon to prove he's not as bad as a lot of us think he is.

Cannon to score and Blades to win is 4.33. Might put a fiver on.

This is where things come unstuck for us, up against a decent team our frailties will be laid to bare……

Please prove me wrong UTD.

We need to drop Cannon, and get Campbell back in the team, BBD needs to be on the bench too.
