It's quite funny that a day after this was started and 173 votes at the time of my post, there are exactly zero for EEL (come chuff will of course read this first then vote for him).

Back in November there were plenty on here telling McCabe to 'break the bank' / 'offer whatever it takes' / 'pay £1m' to get him. The perennial embarrassment that is 'Brian the Blade', was saying the same thing on Radio Pig.

Given he now looks like a fairly average young defender and certainly no better than Bash/JOC, maybe some of the armchair mangers on here might just think before posting next time. Or not.

BTW, I voted Coutts but that seems very harsh on Freeman and to a lesser extent JOC.

This is always a weird one, Billy gets the plaudits but without the others....

Would Fleck have had the same impact without Coutts and why is Fleck getting more credit than Coutts ? Without the strong defence etc etc

Team effort and that's why we are where we are this season but for me, the partnership of Coutts and Fleck is the difference.

Agree. I think (for once) it's a bit unfair to single any one player out when CW has reminded us that it's a team game. POTY? All of them.

Mooro for me, but I am biased. May not be the best, but once that position is sorted and your defence has confidence that he knows what he is doing and they don't have to protect him, it rubs off on the rest of the team. Everybody can get on with their own game without looking back thinking "oh fuck please don't cock it up. My vote just for being solid apart from positioning at free kicks.
