I've seen in the news that there might be some earthquakes somewhere in the Pacific Rim some time this week, and I'm worried that the aftershocks might affect Hillsborough and St. James Park. I'm not that worried about Exeter to be honest, but given that Hillsborough is generally falling down anyway I'm concerned that a tremor in Western Samoa might cause the Leppings Lane end to disappear into a chasm.

Are there any earthquake experts on here, given that there are experts in pretty much everything else, that could assure me that I'm being just a bit too silly and the weekend's matches won't be affected by seismic activity on the other side of the world?

The collapse of Leppings Lane would take with it at least 15 pig fans. Why would this be a concern?

Is it?

*TarquinDelouche's ignorance of Hillsborough is brutally brought to light.*

Those poor bastards. Having to die at that shithole. Of all places.

If the all the millions of Sheffield Weds fans across the planet jumped up and down at the same time a tidal wave would sweep across China....maybe

What???

Eh??

Am I missing some in-joke here?

i read a report from the Intergalactic Owls Plaedes chapter, that voiced concerns over a meteor shower somewhere around Oriens belt, friday night that might mean the 7 quadrillion supporters from that sector of the solar system may be 20/30 light minutes late for the game, technically meaning in real time they may miss the start of next season too :)

astro physicists please confirm

I knew my education would come in handy one day...........A light minute is not a unit of time, but a unit of distance (approx 18 million km).

I can however confirm that W*******y fans just don't matter.

Can you not just move on?

Knowing them jammy blue and white wankers they'd survive without a scratch then the F.A would sympathise with them and automatically promote them into top spot in the premiership where they'd stay there forever and let them in the champions league every year and give them billions of quid out of sympathy!!
On the other hand if it happened to us the F.A would demote us 600 divisions and fine us 900 trillion quid as a punishment!!
No,Wednesday dont matter!!
Fuck 'em!!

Nothing will effect swine cottage............ the Sheffield media won't allow it!

Hurricane Wendy is coming,

it's massive, will cause a lot of fuss, will not leave anything but a bad taste, and be remembered for all the wrong reasons. But ultimately will disappear without a trace.

A member was concerned that rain in Sheffield and Exeter would be connected and cause one or both games to be abandoned. I wasn't.

Nothing of the sorts. I asked if there was any chance that either ours or the Pigs match could be called off due to a water log pitch. I asked if there been much rain in sheffield or at St james Park and no way asked if this was connected. I said it would be strange, as it's the last game of the season, if one of the matches got called off i.e if ours was called off, would we rest players, or if the pigs match was called off and we won, they would be under some pressure.
