From HERE...

Up until last weekend I thought it pretty stupid to try and put Wednesday and United fans into categories, like Les Payne did last week. These fans are more loyal, these fans are more pessimistic etc... I thought it was testicles, they're all the same, but with different coloured stripes on their shirts. You're going to get optimists on both sides, ditto pessimists, and ditto absolute nobjockey fans who like to cause a fight.

But I didn't realise until yesterday just how bad United fans are at accepting defeat, and how Wednesday fans don't come close. Ever since Kilgallon was sent off all I've heard is how they didn't actually lose, how it was the ref's fault, West Ham's fault, Carlos Tevez's fault, the Pope's fault. They just can't accept it, and for me that makes it all the better, I can just sense how much it's hurting them, they're absolutely dying inside, and they're such sore losers they all genuinely believe they've been hard done to.

The Blunts will probably beat us in February, but Wednesday fans, as always, will act with a bit of class, accept the result, accept the bit of banter, and move on. The reaction of the porky side of the city since Sunday has been absolutely laughable!

I'm sorry, but if we're looking for a "victim mentality", I think the other side of the city wins hands down.

Save our Owls! ;)

poor excuses? like laws said the reason they didn't beat the dingles was because they were fatigued and had to make 5 changes because of it. Was it us or them with 10 men doing the extra running about? we didnt show it against southampton!

And what was that about a team bus.....?
