I think Taylor looks promising and Cuvelier hasn't really done enough for me to make a judgment but I reckon he'll come good.

It's all about opinions fella, fair enough. For me, there's just too much blind faith around. "He'll come good", "He hasn't had enough chance", "he'll get it right". Everywhere you look, nobody is performing, very few have proven that they can perform - but we have to hope that one day they all will.

We're going backwards now, from an already low base. Time's up for me.

I agree that there were probably better options out there than a player from the Scottish second division, but Weir must have seen something. Not all players will come off when you take a risk with them (which you nearly always have to at this level), but some will, like Miller. I know it seems like an age due to the filth on show, but people have to remember we're only 10 games into the season and into Weir's managerial career.

I know it's still early, but he has also had a pre season. And 2 cup games against 4th division teams which we couldn't beat.

I enjoyed Rochdale away so at least that would return

The problem isn't simply about a formation, it's the way the players perform on the pitch.

Agreed, we've got the same problems that we had with Wilson's 4-4-2 and Morgan's 4-4-2. The main one is lack of movement. In the first game of the season, it looked like we'd got this sorted but since then we've reverted to type.

We're still doing things far too slowly, we're still not committing enough bodies forward when we attack and we're still not positive enough with our passing.

The holding two in midfield has, on limited evidence admittedly, looked better with McGinn in it than it has without him.

There were a couple of times yesterday, including for the goal, when we played a few consecutive forward passes. We looked a much better side when we did it. Do that more often, inject some urgency and tempo and move, move, move and we'll be OK.

We saw a moderate improvement in the first half v Preston and a big improvement in the first half v Wolves so, although not I'm not saying that it's good enough, there have been signs it might come.
