No idea who numbers 22 and 28 were but I hated them they were useless.

I have absolutely no idea what has happened to Freeman. He looks like he's got glandular fever or something. No energy and so half arsed. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Wilder goes for a player who can play down both sides because a long term injury to Baldock or Stevens will leave us in the shit big time .

This is largely why I'd be keen for us to get Yanic Wildschut. He can play RWB, is a proper athlete and good going forward.

Ben Marshall's a good shout too but unfortunately he's also at Norwich, which would make it difficult.

Positives, from an afternoon when there were too many negatives to count:

Kieran Freeman had (almost) the kind of game he became renowned for in L1 promotion year. His touch, decision-making, movement, passing and crossing were all much closer to the standard we know he has within him. When Bash came on, their interplay on the right hand edge of their box was a genuinely pleasing facet of a generally miserable performance. Great to see a proper Freeman performance again. Baldock has been superb in the last few weeks, but we do need Freeman firing and ready to go.

Bash, when he came on (see above).

Dowell looks like he could be the real deal. Bright, sharp, agile, inventive, links play well, eager to get forward. Some of his balls forward were a bit too "9 iron," he drifted out of the game a little in the second half, and like several of our players he cramped up toward the end--benefit of the doubt to Dowell on this, given his recent lack of competitive games, not so sure about some of the others. Interesting that when Duff and Billy came on, alongside Leon, Dowell dropped deeper into midfield. Might Wilder see a role for him there, rather than as a Duff replacement? First impressions suggest he could be exactly what we need.

Can I include Barnet in the positives? Especially their front two, numbers 10 and 27? They looked like doing us on the break repeatedly, and gave our back three a torrid time throughout. With a bit more luck their way, it could easily have been 0-2 or 0-3, and in all honesty we couldn't have argued the toss. Their supporters were great, too. Fabulous scenes at the final whistle. It took me back to see a side that really understands what the FA Cup is all about, and that committed themselves fully to the game and the occasion. It's a shame, and slightly embarrassing, that our team selection, and the performance of most of our players, suggests we are currently incapable of doing the same.

Err, that's it.

You must have been watching a different Freeman to me.

I think RND would be a better option than Johnson at this point if Marv is what we can get on loan. Get him off the wage bill.

Positives today? I'm still alive, Sunday roast was nice and i'm struggling for more.

Freeman was poor he was slow kept doubling back, his crossing was poor, and he lost posesion numerous times.
Looks a pale shadow of the attacking goalscoring full back he was a couple of years ago.

I don't know whats wrong with Freeman , he looks so low in confidence , I think he needs some love , arm around the shoulder etc , he was a fantastic player , I think he needs to shave that big hairy beard off a have a fresh clean start , be a shame to see him slip off the radar , wonder if its ought personal .

Err, that's it.

Freeman was woeful and disinterested until Basham came on

Positives? None football wise but the norivirus ive had since midweek seems to be waning, so swings and roundabouts..

Positive: the fans have given the club a little bit of good press by applauding Barnet off.

Positive is that if Wilder didnt realize it already he now knows his backup squad is inadequate.

That was mentioned in a couple of match reports, I noticed.

Slightly strange to me, that, as it seemed so natural to do it. Surely most home crowds in similar circumstances would have done the same thing?

I'd hope so but nice all the same.

A lot of us applauded their subs off too, the 27 and the 10.

You obviously go to support United but the performance they put in was worthy of applause from everyone there.

I think it was just nice to be able to appreciate something given the dross our own players were serving up!

But yeah I agree, a nice thing to do.
