I'll start with the positives, because why the hell not?
• That first half of football. Wow. I know we've been served up some proper shite so far this season but bloody hell. We were excellent. I've not enjoyed a first half like that (Bradford aside) in a long time. We were awesome.
• Jay Mac I thought had an excellent game. When he lost the ball he won it back. Good passing, strong leadership. A proper captain.
• Woolford. Don't particularly like the guy but I thought in the first half he was very good.
• Coutts, I think he's getting better with every game. His touch, his passing, his awareness, a strong game for him.
• The crowd, stayed behind the team when losing, and throughout the game. IN RESPONSE TO HOW WE WERE PLAYING!!! As we've said all along.
•Billy Sharp- the definition of "putting a shift in".
Now the negative...
• Our defending. Fuck me, talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Awful, schoolboy, amateur, basic defensive errors allowing them to score what they will class as "worldies" but we very, very defendable.
•Sammon. Poor first touch, can't shoot, can't pass, and loses every ball he goes for. Other than hilarious fish based puns, what the hell does this guy offer?
•Long. Beaten twice from long range, kicking was poor and air kicked a shot during the end to give them a corner.
• Our defending. So bad it needs mentioning twice.
Such s frustrating day and we are our own worst enemies but I'm choosing to concentrate on that first half. Which was excellent. If we play like we'll destroy teams in this league.
Have I missed anything? Agree? Disagree? Not watched the match and just want to slag us off because you've simply seen the score line?
