There were plenty of positives today and quite a few negatives. Hopefully one of the positives will be Hecky giving Ndiaye a right bollocking for not bother to go with his runner for their 3rd (after he had given it away and let them break on us which I can accept under risk and reward football). His defensive decision for their 3rd was appalling. As good as he is going forward, he needs reminding that he needs to mark his man when defending.

With our injury list and history of recurring injured players the last thing we need is a replay

When the first goal went in so early, and they had 2 players go down injured, it could have turned out so differently.
A Jebbo hat-trick, 0-4 at half time, a damp squib of a 2nd half and at full time everyone goes home and Wrexham get a pat on the back.
I watched the game on TV and afterwards replayed the last 20 mins of the 5 Live commentary. They were raving about the game - in a world of sterile matches and boring results, this was for the neutral - a cracking game that many watching will have enjoyed!
The positives? OK Jebbo's sending off is bad news for us as he'll be missing for 3 games.
However, sometimes you just have to cheer up and enjoy the spectacle - and football should be entertaining too! So let's just enjoy what could have been a boring one-side game for what it was!
Hollywood owners, a brilliant fightback, a sending off and a last minute equaliser to break hearts - the story will have lit up around the globe and this will be marked as the best 4th Round Cup game of 2023 - and set up a tasty (in the media's eyes) replay which will definitely be shown on TV and hopefully we can play our better game and let everyone see how good we are and get into the next round
Yes, there were negatives and we weren't at our best, but sometimes you just have to lighten up and go with the flow, instead of getting upset about things when they don't go according to plan.

I agree, but the match commentator was clearly willing a shock. When Wrexham’s 3rd went in he spouted something about it being too late for us to come back. That was in the 85th minute & there was clearly going to be a chunk of added time.
Recall Pearce on BBC saying it wasn't over around 92 mins and United could still win!

I suspect we would have felt differently at the end had Wrexham taken the early lead, we had fought back and they had equalized in injury time. In the circumstances, it was difficult to raise much enthusiasm for our equalizer; a lot of our fans had already left and for the first time in the game I wasn't straining to see what was going on - even so I couldn't say who had scored for us.
Walking away from the ground I was amused to hear a couple of their fans being ecstatic that Jebbo wouldn't be able to play in the replay.
It was definitely a game made for TV

Add to that McAtee who was the worst of the lot. In fact only Egan, Norwood and Lowe came out with any real credit. Jebbo would have too until he got reeled in by that wanker Tozer.
McAtee was injured in the first minute when we scored. He tried running it off but had to be subbed.
