All the Blades off to Portsmouth on Valentine’s Day. have my respect. I couldn’t do it. Once you factor in one of the longest journeys of the season, (done it once before never again), then cost of travel, tickets, food and the impending divorce. it just wasn’t worth it.

Would quite like to see us put our wretched record at Fratton Park to bed, the only time I remember us ever winning there is in the Triple Assault season .. we even lost there in League One when I think they were already relegated to League 2.

We have the far better team today but I suspect the pitch is going to be a bit of a leveller

I was looking at form at Fratton Park and despite it feeling like a bogey ground the numbers are a lot closer than you’d think. Won 24, lost 20 drawn 9.

I was there, mental thing to do. Their fans went barmy and it sounded very hairy outside after... I didnt see as we legged it back to tje station in the expectation of a
