Poor old Billy

That may well be one of his last appearances for us. Feel for him as it was very harsh, no way would that be a red in the Championship.

No way will that be one his last appearances. It's a long season and he'll score some very important goals.

100% this. Was in the best physical condition of his whole career last season playing out of his skin. Been written off so many times and comes back better and stronger. He’ll learn from this and he’ll be learning from the league every minute he’s on the pitch. He’ll still score a few more this season

If Didsy keeps missing the chances he is getting then we will certainly see Sharp again this season.

You never know if Moose strikes up a partnership with someone in the next three games Billy will be down to fifth choice. Could be a long way back

I was sat 20 yards from it and only seen it the once so far. It didn't look like a red to me, looked like his body checked into him with a foot dangling in as well. I thought like wilder a lazy challenge, but I was expecting yellow. On the jay mceverley scale of sending offs it was a 4 out of 10 (with mceverleys being much more than 10)

He hardly touched him, thats why hes a soft arse.
How much it hurts doesn’t make something a red or yellow. It was dangerous play and can be given as a red, which it was. Billy lost his head for a second and was punished.

Its hardly a matter of how much something hurts when he hardly touched him. Wasnt even dangerous imo, just went for the ball, was a bit late and tapped his shin. Fckin hell i remember someone shattering my shinpad when i played for hallam, wasnt even a freekick.

Could be, but if Didsy keeps squandering chances like he did today then we will need to call on Billy again. Personally, I think he buries that early chance today.

Agree re Moose though, would love to see him hit it off with someone up front. McBurnie seems the most likely in my opinion.

Billy was superb when he came on. He's added something extra to his game and would have certainly put himself in line for a starting place at Everton.

I noticed Che Adams ran over to Billy as he was leaving the field to shake his hand. I'm sure Adams wants an end to any animosity between him and the Blades.

The ref let so many of their challenges go unpunished that's the result.
I haven’t seen it back but thought the same. There was a late sliding tackle by them near the dug outs that was a yellow all day, arguably (although I wouldn’t) a red. To let things like that completely go and flash a straight red for something that was clumsy more than malicious seemed harsh to me.

Daft daft lad.

Went in with intent and malice. Ironically, this is why the card was red , rather than the actual contact, which was not that bad in the final analysis. Sort of realised it was a leg breaker and pulled out !

Case for a yellow, but given the refs previous during the game, understandable it wasn’t.

Disappointing Wilder had need to say what he did.

And yet so utterly predictable 😞.

He was fucking disgraceful in the 2nd half.
2 players kicking the fuck out of Didsy, who ends up on the floor...you guessed it, a foul to Southampton.

I hope the cunt gets a flat tyre on the way home.
I hope for far worse. I knew as soon as I saw his name we'd get fuck all.

I'd be surprised if there was any contact with the foot, sure he ran into their player but that knob of a ref couldn't wait to get the cards out for our players. If that was a red card what was that assault on Mcgoldrick worth earlier? I don't think the ref gave us anything all afternoon, today was a welcome to the cheating Premier League expect a lot more of what we have witnessed today I'm afraid chaps.

He was an embarassment to his "profession" today. Might as well have been wearing a Southampton shirt. Utterly staggered that I overheard a saints fan in the pub post-match say "good win, despite the ref being a homer."

I hope he gets 4 flat tyres. And then pulled over for a brakelight out. And then I hope every single road he has to drive on is closed for roadworks. And then his engine explodes. And then while he's waiting for the AA I hope an articulated lorry runs into his stranded car and writes it off (I've calmed down a bit now, soI no longer hope he's in it when that happens).

In short, I wish untold misery on the utter twat that was "refereeing" our game today.

The cunt.

Thought Billy had been excellent until the foul. Really livened us up. We might say strikers can't tackle but I thought McBurnie was very good today at getting back and tackling.
