Hi all, I am currently completing my masters as Sheffield Hallam while researching policing of football games in South Yorkshire. If you could take a few minutes to complete a short questionnaire it would be much appreciated!

The questionnaire itself and further information can be found when following the link below.

If this is on the wrong section of the forum then feel free to move it around!

Whatever gets reported to SYP comes back twisted up so they were unaware of any problems but if there were any they were caused by the fans. I wonder how little ginger nut is coping with his permanently scarred head after PC Hulk got angry and just split it like a ripe melon.

In fairness to them, at least they were able to keep order for a whole 5 minutes (and I think I'm being generous there) on leppings lane after the last derby at hillsborough

The only Police force in the UK that cannot cope with a 30,000 crowd. Rotherham child abuse, Hillsborough disaster, Orgreave, porn shot from the force's helicopter, non of the crew knew about it allegedly, just to name a few of their honours for lying and deceit.
More recently kettling Blades fans at Barnsley station causing a crush, holding fans on packed trams until some were passing out and failure to control fans at every stadium in South Yorkshire at some point. A superb police force I kid you not.

What are the possible disadvantages and risks of taking part?

There should not be any risks to you of taking part. All your answers will be anonymised, and there will be no identifying characteristics in the data presented in the final report. You will not experience any negative consequences for participating, and there will be no detriment to you regardless of the views you express.

This is inherently untrue. The Investigatory Powers Act 2016 gives all police forces (*) the right to access bulk collection of communications data (including internet website records, which ISPs have to retain for 1 year for for all UK residents). It is primary legislation, and neither you nor I have any control over it. If the police want to see your internet records, they can do so, without oversight!

* - and GCHQ, and the Home Office, and Revenue and Customs, and even the Food Standards Agency!

Ask to see Durham 5 0 overtime dockets for a friday night the other november.

I never see much of an issue with the police at home matches tbh, I suppose because I normally just go to the match then go home, sometimes one quick drink and usually in the hotel, so I'm staying in "home" areas where the police don't really have much to do. It's away matches that drive me mad, be it local ones or further afield. The policing is disgusting. They are desperate for us all to be criminals!!! As far as away matches go, I have absolutely no respect for the police, as they have none for me.
