I guess the Dirties' caretaker manager rates him higher than Warnose did.

He was awful on Saturday but it's still a loss. He wasn't too bad off the bench.

He was blowing out of his arse after 10m minutes. something tells me he had a late night on Sunday!

Hasn't Redfearn taken over ? He will know Poleon well. Once again a loanee that hasn't worked out for us.

However, I think there could be a silver lining here. We have a versatile youngster who will die for the cause and will be chomping at the bit.

Step forward Callum McFadzean. I've seen quite a bit of him for the U21s and I rate him.

He'll make mistakes but he can pass, has a lot of energy and will also shoot given the opportunity.

He could make a mistake that costs us but I have absolutely no problem in him being thrown in now. I don't think he'll let us down. You won't see me criticising him.

Has Wilson got the balls to use him ?

The pop gun attack gets weaker still ,Mcdonald is also 1 yellow away from suspension.
Nothing new or surprising the Blades get into a good position then are caught short of quality players at the business end of every season.

Well wasn't he crap?

It's a good job he did play badly on Monday.
Can you imagine if he'd played a blinder and then been recalled by Leeds.
How could United allow a situation where one of our few pacy options can just disappear?
There's no possibility of bringing someone else in now the window has closed.
Seven crucial games left to play, maybe ten, with a paper-thin squad.
Wilson/McCabe must have known there was a chance this could happen and should have pre-empted it.

Striking options gone since January:- Blackman, De Girolamo, Creswell, Philliskirk and Tonne
Options gained:- Forte

Could we really not afford to bring someone else in last week?
Could we afford not to?

They make me shake my head on a constant basis, I think he has generally been poor after a bright start, but the lack of planning and anticipation is frankly shocking.

It makes the squad scary thin, but I've always said I'd rather see our youngsters given a go than another team's youngsters.

As UnitedBlade said, it's time for McFadzean to be given his chance to impress. I didn't see anything in Poleon that offered more than he can personally.

...and there goes my only ever source of ITK-ness :(

If anyone wants to know, he was banned from driving the other day for being caught on his mobile phone and only having passed his test in the last 2 years.

Idiot (Poleon not you Rodders)

Well with pace lacking now (and that's all Poleon actually had!), we need some early goals from Forte or we can expect lots of long, high, big balls into the box for the most part of the games to come. Not exactly a bench full of impact subs with Porter, Ironside and *Cressy.

Would like to see McFadzean given a go but not sure he will have the same kind of effect, hopefully he has a decent delivery in him if given the chance.

Having pace is a waste of time for us anyway, as we don't break anywhere quick enough to use it.

You have a good point, but the weakness you mention (up the tempo, break quicker) isn't necessarily so hard to put right, as long as we have the fitness (do we?).

We were so slow and predictable on Monday that every time the ball was knocked up to Forte and Poleon there was a defender who'd been perfectly able to read the situation, drop deeper and challenge them strongly with their backs to goal. I was not surprised they did not deal with those situations well. It's like asking Kitson to race onto through balls.

Bert would like to see Joe Ironside play. He's got a proper name for a footballer unlike half the nancy boys these days.

Can't make it up can you!
No, you can't can you...however, have you ever considered the possibilities of why he's been dispatched?
Rodders sheds some light on it, but his obvious failure to carry out defensive duty instructions a couple of times in as many minutes resulted in his ejection at HT.
A reasonable guess at his attitude to that might give you the answer as to why he's been sent back.
In flashes he looked as though he could offer something but I'd hazard he was less than spot on with his application and intelligence. Shame, but these decisions won't be taken lightly....

We didn't send him back - he was recalled by Leeds.

"Leeds have exercised the option to recall the 19-year-old, who made seven appearances for the Blades after joining on-loan in February."

He was very good when he came on at Stevenage and is ready for his chance. If he does well he could secure a place in the team and make a name for himself. Good luck to the lad.

Can't we recall Creswell? If so get him back in my opinion!

hes been crap, but were starting to get a end of season no strikers deja vu thing going on.

get old man cressers back pronto. be the icing on the chicken if we havent put in a clause to recall cressers!

He might have been generally poor, but just having a quick player up front changes how the opposition behave, so it is a loss.

Is Blackman getting a game at Reading? Is there enough humble pie in the world?
