I think Burnley will be a draw possibly 0-0, depends on West Brom and their form and depending on their managerial situation as Southampton are sniffing around a few championship managers.

Thought I'd make it easier to keep track of those who have guessed the game-by-game results. There's still time to get yours in

For those concerned about us being caught... here are the festive fixtures for the top four, complete with no-doubt-wildly-inaccurate predictions.

We really should be beating the statistically worst team in the division on Saturday and I have a feeling that Wilder will have the team fired up against Burnley after the capitulations last season. West Brom three days later will be tricky and Sunderland three days after that will be a bridge too far.

Stoke and Blackburn each have to play Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland in the five games; only Leeds (against Oxford) and Sunderland (against Portsmouth) have easy home fixtures.

Burnley have the most difficult fixtures according to the league table; Leeds by far the easiest.

Brilliant. Thank you for doing this. I am feeling a lot more positive. It is often easy to just get blinkered and focus on your own fixtures. This is great

Blackburn have the toughest run of all !

Cardiff (A) - 21/12 - W
Burnley (H) - 26/12 - D
WBA (H) - 29/12 - W
Sunderland (A) - 1/1 - W
Watford (A) - 4/1 - D

Optimistic I think it's a tough run, but we are top for a reason and shouldn't fear anyone

Cardiff (A) - 21/12 - W
Burnley (H) - 26/12 - w
WBA (H) - 29/12 - W
Sunderland (A) - 1/1 - L
Watford (A) - 4/1 - L

= 9

7 points, we have to lose at some point and the games against Boro and Leeds suggest that the better teams are where we struggle, be it tactically or psychologically.
I'm going for seven too, which won't be the worst return given the opposition. We may not be top after the Watford game but we'll be right there in the mix.

I'll hedge with you on correct score your multi right now if you placed it! 😂 😊

11 points.

😂

If I'd have bet on it and it comes in I'd have gladly given you a chunk for free mate!

Reason I didn't?
For fun on Saturday I picked Pigs, Leeds, Millwall, Plymouth and Sunderland to win.
All did except Plymouth...when Boro equalised with 6 mins to go. And THAT"S why I don't bet!! 😉

3/6 points gained. Can't get any more than 12 from 15.

And only two result guessers still in it...

Hopefully we lose a few drop to 7th and finish there, were not a top 2 side by a long way.

Any result at Cardiff and we will definitely be on top at Christmas, but what about when the final whistle blows at Vicarage Road?

Get your vote in, but if you also dare state your predictions for each game, I will put in an update after each game about who is doing well and who is out of the running.

WBA (H) - 29/12 - W

Poll closes 11am on Friday 20th

I thought we'd beat Cardiff & WBA and get at least one positive result from Burnley, Sunderland and Watford.

We're on 4 from 3, I'd snap your arm off for 6 or above now given then circumstances.
I think we'll probably lose to Sunderland and get a point at Watford. Anything better than that I'd be very content.

I was wrong with the pivotal game on Boxing Day but I've got the other United results correct. We got Burnleyed and it wasn't a pleasant experience. I'm on 3/4 for Leeds and Sunderland too. Burnley are doing way better than I thought and having seen them I can understand why: their spine is solid and they defend well across the pitch.

The prediction for the final game was for all four sides to pick up three points and I'm going to stick with that.
