Those who travelled to PNE will no doubt remember the "hilarious" way our team was read out by the local nobody with a microphone, Adam Catterill.

One PNE fan has posted on their forum:

Been to the Sheff Utd v Hull game today. In the program there is an apology from Ben Rhodes to the Sheff Utd fans concerning the way their team was read out at Deepdale. Tannoy man's contract has been terminated.

Can anyone confirm who bought the programme on Saturday?

What happened? Well, he was reprimanded before our match for reading the Burnley team out too quickly so as to be incomprehensible. This comedy legend (!) proceeded to read our.... team.... out.... slowly before doing the same before receiving chants of "ooo are ya?" from the away end.

Can't say we were too bothered at the time... we just thought he was a prick.

Seems his employers agreed!

We too were upset by the disrespectful nature of the team announcement, particularly after we had given our tannoy man specific instructions before the game. As such we have come to an agreement with him to end his role with us. I hope your next trip to Deepdale is a more enjoyable one, although not the result! This is what it says:

Nah, it was the same one. He's been in trouble quite a few times, seems our game was the final straw.
