We need to get Holmes and Brooks on when ready, both attacking run at defences type players. Give Duffy a run of starts too see if he can recover his touch which has been slightly lacking lately.

Think Wilson should be given a go up front with Brooks too. People on here don't like him but he's got a reyt shot on him, and has that bit of skill that can make a difference if he can show it. Any striker and Brooks combo would be refreshing though. Maybe play more up the middle.

I barely ever criticise Wilder but I will on this if he continually overlooks him. It was bad enough that he didn't get a single game last season, in L1. There's not a lot of time left this season. We can't be wasting it by keeping our biggest spark on the bench. We've got to be bold if we want 6th spot.

I’ll repeat myself again....the bottom line for 90% of fans is results not performances.

Wilder wants to gain promotion it seems has lost his nerve as recently teams have taken advantage of our naive positivity.
The last home match was a great example...normally we’d keep attacking
But when QPR pulled a goal back we sat back and defended trying to slow the game down playing relative spoiler tactics.
It was weird seeing us settling for the 2-1 with 20 minutes to go......but it worked, we won.

Against Villa and particularly Bristol City we weren’t happy with the draw and pushed for a late winner.
The irony is our positivity made us lose both games, maybe Wilder is learning we need to be more thoughtful and less gung-ho.

Maybe some of the players have run out of steam and we unable to continue playing the high tempo style where EVERY player presses and is on the front foot.

I would have been perfectly happy with a draw in those two games at 90 minutes, especially against Bristol when we were down to 10 men. That wasn't naivety going for the winner, it was fucking lunacy.

I think its interesting that we've brought in some much needed depth in midfield and in time, I think they'll prove to be good signings but for now, I'd go as far as to say our first choice would be Fleck, Coutts and Duffy still.

But for now we need either Lundstram or Evans with Fleck and Duffy, trying to shoehorn Leonard in isn't working yet and we don't have a comfort zone any more.

It’s time to go to 4 at the back if the centre backs are going to stop overloading. Or tough decisions need to be made at the top of the pitch to get him in.

Net-net, who is going to win you more points in the XI? Is it Brooks or Basham?

I’d love 4-2-3-1 with Brooks, Holmes and Duffy or Brooks alongside Leon but am not sure Chris is ready to drop Sharp or Clarke so perhaps some sort of diamond with one from Evans/Lundstram/Leonard + Fleck, Brooks and Duffy.

We need to get points - 2 from 4 - Brooks, Basham, Holmes, Sharp. Which is it to be? Answer that and the formation takes care of itself.

I been thinking the same for a week or two mate. It was a pleasure to go and watch that football. We’re one of the best teams in this league when we play that way.

Might as well. Not only does it work well for us, but there's nothing left to lose now. It's either hit top form or wait till next season. No harm in going all out.
