Don't you tell me what to do with my facial hair you patronising, arrogant oaf.
you keep your beard but when my facebook campaign takes off you may find yourself under threat of execution

Stuff ya. I'm going to get over excited and what you gonna do about it Hu.
We will beat forest on tuesday so if normal service is losing then either ME OR THEE shall have the 'I told you so' rights.
your comments about BIG GAMES, nothings changed since you last mentioned it so you cannot judge thebig game theory - pointless statement there.
I seem to remember you wanting Harper in your midfield?
When Harper is fully fit he and Williamson will prove the best central midfield pairing. They were excellent against Palace The trouble is some of you think having Monty in the team is actually an objective in itself and more important than playing our best team.

With the players we have that best team would consist of Monty and yesterday was our best midfield performance.
We have been waiting a long time to see Monty and Willo in center and it worked you cannot deny that.

Nothing like the same Linz. Have you read Hippy's post?

The thing is though, lots of us got back after watching a decent performance. The question which was asked repeatedly was whether we were good, or whether they were awful.

I said 'bits of both'. What really pisses me off is when there is the faintest chink of light, there is still the bloke who walks past, painting crosses on doors, ringing a bell yelling "BRING OUT YOUR DEAD!"

You're just like the old steward (deceased) from the Carlton Anti-Social Club, who said upon my entrance after sufclucy made me the proudest Dad (story written elsewhere) when we beat West Brom 6-0 ....

"Well, they had ferk all to beat."

Can you not lighten up? Haven't you other pressing things to be annoyed about?

And you're like the drunken saddo that resorts to mindless abuse because someone has posted a comment on a football forum.

I'd quite like to get over-excited for a bit please, given that the opportunities have been few and far between in the previous twelve months.

I'd like to eat a bag of Skittles and some fizzy jelly snakes, ripped to the tits on e-numbers, and fantasise about play-offs and trips to London without some gloomy bugger bringing me down to earth with all the joi-de-vivre of a serial balloon popper at a kids party.

I know that there is every chance of us putting in a turgid performance the next time I see us play, but I don't need telling that we will be crap again soon. I'd like my weekend to finish off on a high note unsullied by the looming black cloud of the forum pessimists.

Not much chance of that though, is there? My glass is half-full, theirs is a plastic night club glass trampled underfoot, shattered and with not even a trace of shit £4-a-pint Foster's left, as they contemplate another taxi ride home alone to a lonely dark bedsit that smells faintly of mouse wee.

Arguably the best post on here for years, BRAVO :thumbup::thumbup:

Someone disagreeing with you is not abuse. It is them putting their opinion forward as you have yours.

As offensive as it may be to you that not everyone shares your (dim) view of the world, they have every right to voice it.

I note that there are a few occasions of you resorting to name calling yourself in this thread.

Allow this to be a warning that any more, and you know what is coming.

Linz - do me a favour and read Judge's first post and then the first and penultimate paragraph of Hippy's post.

Is that now considered acceptable on here. There was absolutely no need for Hippy to include those paragraphs in his post if he was disagreeing with me.

I'm lost for words at your take on things Linz and can only assume you haven't read all the thread.

Why do you think I am dim by the way?

That was the best whole 90 minutes I've seen this season.

Was pleased to see the team announced with the two wide players and Williamson on board. Would have liked to see Harper in there with Williamson and would have started Cresswell instead of Henderson but, otherwise, it's the team I've been waiting for.

Thought Bartley looked an outstanding young prospect and Nosworthy (one alarming "slice" apart) was OK.
I feared for Kallio after the Derby game but he did OK apart from a 20 minute spell when Sproule had the beating of him and whoever was in front was giving him little cover (both Yeates and Ward were culpable).

Great to see us get the ball down and get it wide on occasions and play balls to feet rather than neck.

All in all, haven't walked away from the ground as happy as that since Preston last May.
For God's sake keep it up (even away would be nice).

They have Judged you based on what you said. Your thread apears to be set out to upset peoples weekend and if you tell people what to do, you deserve it.
I agree with them. Anyway answere my post and stop ducking and diving like Lenners does. whoops.

It was designed to get a bit of chat going on here - a fans forum. I don't for one second think I have the capacity to upset people's weekend. I don't think like that.

I wouldn't have Monty in my team, certainly not in a 442. I've said this time and time again. He cannot do the simple things right in my opinion - everything is very hard work for him in terms of possession and we lose vital time when the ball goes through him because I don't think he can trap it properly and play a pass with the correct weight. Not when we are faced with decent opposition anyway. I like him, he played well on saturday and I don't boo when he plays etc, I just prefer Harper.

I quite like 451 as long as it is Henderson and Ward (and now Yeates) as the forward most players but our squad is best suited to 442 - which is my preference.

I have reservations about the lack of height when Yeates and Ward play but I'd rather have Harper's ability on the ball than Monty's ball winning (and I think his tackling has got alot worse recently).

Which is why it was a warning to be read by all. You have been guilty of it on more than one occasion in this thread too however, and yet had the audacity to complain about abuse.

I can give you all an infraction now if you like? I was trying to be nice on a Monday morning.

Why do you think I am dim by the way?

Gloomy. Downcast. Pessimistic.

Pick another adjective you prefer.

It is perfectly acceptable because it was funny yet almost deadly accurate.

Deal with it boyo. :)

Credit where it is due on that basis to Blackwell for picking his best players but should we really applaud him for that?

Wrong you should applaud him for picking the best players to form the best team.
So in your opinion he picked his best players?
Now we know he has a couple of injuries. he has to change midfield the suspected doubt is Willo. Your midfield for tuesday without willo would be what?

You think funny/acceptable, I think way OTT. That's dealing with it isn't it? I aint crying or taking bat home but I reckon am entitled to try and stand up for me sen yet you seem to say leave it. No problem for me if I'm getting battered - a good win (which I said I enjoyed) like that is obviously going to create problems for someone who still wants Blackwell's instant dismissal, but I can still post I think.

Nobody can begrudge me a little pop back at Hippy, no matter how unfunny or inaccurate it is.

I'm glad you've brought the Palace game up AGAIN.

You keep harping (no pun intended) on about that game as being the best footballing display this season.

Well I'd argue Saturdays game vs Bristol was as good if not better than then.

So if you want to pick solitary games out, then your argument would now be nul and void.

I was referring to Ward and Camara and Willo in middle but fair enough.
Is Harper fit?

I would go with Ward, Monty, Harper, Quinn, Yeates.

Hendo up top.

Assuming Camara is injured as well.

I think we'd get truly battered with 442 with Quinn and Monty in middle.

Nowp, nobody is stopping you having a go at him back. You are entitled to it.

However once you have had a go back at him don't whinge like a ponce that somebody has called you a bad name. Man up a bit.

BTW, what's the connection with Hellas Verona?

I watched Italy's World Cup win in Verona in 2006, amazing night.

It is rather strange but I have always liked Italian football, so whenever I played on Championship Manager I would always manage Inter. Until one game when I started unassigned and Hellas gave me a job. I spent about 20 seasons on that one game :)

I then read this book... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Season-Vero...=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1266241080&sr=8-3

Possibly the best book I have ever read. And now I follow Hellas. Currently storming Serie C1B and looking for promotion back to Serie B. We also have no conceeded a goal away from home all season. Knowledge. :D

You're probably not bothered but I get called dim and then reply and it's suddenly called whinging like a ponce. I hadn't done any whinging until the post I was called dim. I'm whinging now, a bit!!

I'm reading that book currently - brilliant stuff.

Wouldn't fancy a 15 hour coach ride to Bari with that lot.

This whole thread is a fascinating read. Generally I think Micalijo should be thanked for creating it. In a probably unknowing way he's become a valve, a vent if you will for the steadily building frustration for quite a few on here. Thread after thread of negative reaction (mostly it must be said created purely for the purpose of a Blackwell bash, some justified I would also point out) and criticism of anything and everything from the Chairman down. Fine, things aren't exactly tickety boo at the moment, but the insidious implication in many of these threads was that this was genuine supporters moaning because they wanted better from the club as a whole. Again, no problem with it, but the reaction to any defeat, or draw in some cases, was enormous both in quantity and vitriol.

Suddenly an chink of light, an upturn not only in the result but also the performance means that people come on here expecting the negativity to have gone into hibernation for a few days at least. But then Micalijo started this thread and allowed all that had been building up to escape, and the poor chuff gets the whole lot. Some have said the reaction is very strong and out of context, actually it looks proportionate to the reaction to a loss, in all ways!

For God's sake, no-one called you dim!

"To take a dim view" is a common phrase and just means that the view in question is pessimistic; it does not have any connotation as to intelligence of the person taking that view.

You might say that Portsmouth supporters take a dim view of their club's prospects, but that would not mean those supporters were stupid, would it?

Hey up SEB are you the referee?

I hate to piss on your chips mate, but a lot of the Hellas lot were giving it the fascist salute that night. Not just the lads with the Curva Sud (?) banners either! What was interesting is that they've got a lot of songs with the English tunes - think they are linked with Chelski for some reason. Fits in with the salutes I suppose.

Funny place that part of Italy. :)

How is that pissing on my chips?

Have you read the book? The racism factor of the Hellas fans takes a very interesting and intellegent turn in the book.

Also when I went to the Bentegodi I saw some graffiti on a hotel in the suburb around the ground. It was a Swastika with S.S. wrote underneath. And yet it is an area of the city that is said to have many black prostitutes operating.

And yes, it is the Curva Sud :)
