I think it would be a shame to get rid of player suggestion. It's very illuminating to read of good suggestions and totally hilarious to read about completely barmy suggestions that just show how out of touch some folk are with reality.

Not get rid... but people who post it have to at least explain what knowledge they have of the player. E.g..

1. Watched him 20+ times last season
2. Saw his play against us
3. Saw him on Sky once
4. Saw his name in the Suns League 1 team of the week
5. Like his name

Ah yes. But I click "new posts" at the top to see what is new from last time I logged on. It just says that it's in the rumour mill on there. Doesn't show the tab. To see the tab you have to physically go into the rumour mill.

I didn't know that as I don't do it that way, I click on a section and the newest posts are at the top already.

I suppose what it boils down to is common sense when suggesting someone so I can see some flaws in it.

I think we should get rid of it also, there are too many posts on player suggestion, however I would like to suggest my son to the first team, well because hes my son.

Didn't the player suggestion tab come about (probably 4-5 years ago) because people were suggesting players in the rumours section?

Same as always, just needs posters to be disciplined, if you don't want to read it, don't. But clearly some people like the feature.

mattbianco1 even in the way you read the forum (i do the same) you can see in the title of the threads which forum section a post is in (general blades chat, rumour mill etc) so once you've read what you want to, go back to new posts and click "mark forums as read"
