Surely we have to realise the weaknesses in our play come from not building on the strengths within our squad. The tactic with strikers seems to not select players who have cost us loads rather than building a style of play that they can succeed in. Is the plan to persuade them to ask for transfers so that the owner can cash in. No investment from our summer's sales disaster and no spending our PL money pot this year. No strengthening the obvious gaps from last year. We look very vulnerable in midfield just in front of the defence and unable to stop shots from outside the box. We need to get some physical stature into the team and some strength of character. Not looking forward to the transfer window.

The playing style to match our squad strengths would be how Wilder set us up as thats is what the players were signed for.

What are our squad strengths at the moment?

I would probably say that MGW is a fabulous attacking, creative and motivated player. To a lesser degree, the same applies to NDiaye.

Everywhere else I look in this squad we have players with good pedigree under performing for a myriad of reasons.

in my opinion what we are really lacking, beyond personnel and formations, is motivation. You can’t buy that in January.

If we’re playing to our strengths I guess we just don’t play?
