I was going to suggets Colin Cryan but according to Wikipedia he played 5 times for us, though no idea how many minutes that amounted to. His Wikipedia page does over glamourise his career somewhat however:

"Born in Dublin on 23 March 1981, Cryan had and eleven year successful career playing as a defender to such clubs as:Sheffield United, Scarborough, Lincoln City, Boston United and Droylsden. He has now retired from the sport and currently works at The Kingsway School in Cheadle as a PE teacher."

Another one is players who made the bench for a league game, but never actually played. I give you:

Nigel Williams (last seen as a tramp in Sheffield)
David Windridge
John Burke
Simon Copeland
Matt Foreman
Marc Warren
Kris Lofberg
Nathaniel Foster

And loads of goalies

Mikhail Aksalu
Justin Haber
Andy Dibble
Danny Wainwright
Tom Evans
Danny Haystead
Ken Veysey
Jim Leighton
George Willis
Danny Coyne
Matt Duke
Kevin Blackwell (!)
Lawrence Thomas

There's probably more.....

It's eleven more years than me!! (and you I'm guessing?)

2 that may have only played 1 game for us, though I haven't looked it up the check..

Manu Thetis - Gillingham away, got a feeling it was a Saturday night game and we lost 4-0. Cheers for taking me there Dad.

Mark? Ward - Striker that came on at Bolton, I'd guess late 90's/2000? when they were already up and we had nothing to play for.

Ward played a game or 2 the following season. It was Thetis' only appearance.
