Original post said Don Hutchinson, as i remembered him saying derogatory things about us after he left, but i can't find the quote now, so i'll change my answer. Nyron Nosworthy, never seemed like he actually cared. Or maybe he was just that bad.

2 posts in and no-one has mentioned Dean Hammond?

This might also be controversial but....

I never got the sense that Hammond's heart wasn't in it tbf. I think he tried his best but his legs and ability had just gone.

Let's not confuse this with how he behaved over his contract after Wilder was appointed. That was shitty and the thing that really pissed everyone off. But most players would have done the same in similar circumstances.

Paul Devlin (toward the end of his stay). I seem to remember him getting too big for his boots and getting booed off at a night game. (I was only a young lad at the time so I maybe wrong).

He did indeed, if I remember rightly he was hauled off before half-time after strolling around once it was known that Birmingham were in for him.

I'm sure someone else will have a better recollection and amend accordingly.

I remember having a reight go at him for not giving a toss and getting him sen sent off away at Wolves.

Jimmy Johnstone
Here's one that might raise a few eyebrows but Kenworthy said in his book that he wasn't up for the fight.... Sabella.

Paul Devlin - I think he's the earliest player I can remember not being able to understand why they were playing for us at all, never saw anything good from him.

It's worth noting I was about 9 at the time and only started going to games towards the end of his stay, he may have been better in earlier years.

As for my nomination for this thread? Mark Yeates would be up there I think, and David Cotterill. Starting to think I don't like midfielders.

Was against Watford who he later joined.

Don Hutchison played well beneath his ability for us. Keef after relegation was atrociously uncommitted. Phil Bardsley couldn't muster a jog back into position for us, the big time twat. Whereas Jonathan Hunt appeared to genuinely dislike playing for us.

Could go on for ages, but it's late....

I think he tried desperately hard. It was painful to watch and Adkins shouldn't have put him through it.
