Peter Katchuro. Subbed as a sub in his first game then showed his class over time.

I think that it took much more than effort alone for Harry to get two promotions ,from the third to first division. IMO His teams were far better than long ball hoofers.
Deane and Agana hat tricks in the same game. Exciting times. There's only one Harry Bassett. One year = promotion Two years = promotion that few expected.
How long have we been in this shit hole of a league. So and remember Bassett didn't have the backing that NIGEL has. IMO Bassett made better use of what he had. and should be remembered with respect..
You could add Peters to the list of numpties and of course there is Robson and his mate Mr Kidd.
Jeff King was very poor in his first few matches- and his dodgy background meant he got plenty of stick for it.
He may not have gone on to be a legend- but he was a key player and his winner at Crewe sparked joyous scenes
Can't believe nobody's mentioned Jimmy Muir
Ooh Ahh
Not necessarily a bad start, but was our best player for a while in the early days of Warnock.
Paul Devlin.....the amount of abuse he used to get running down the right wing, but was clearly one of the only decent players in the side.
The days of Bobby Ford, Warnocks favourite till Monty stepped up!![]()
Saw him in the car park straight after the Leicester game at Filbert Street . Still got his kit on under his track suit . One off our Bob ,

Thought it was a bit embarrassing , when he came on the pitch with microphone in hand , before the start of a home game , the season we went down from the championship , trying to rally the fans . Rumour has it , he was paid 2k for turning up . Sadly it didn't work on the players.

.....and a six-pack less one can as he staggered away .... (wasn't he with his Mum and Dad or some such ?)... we saw him grinning like a pillock as we drove away from the ground, but well away from the car park by then... There was something about the look on his face that said he knew, more than any other player, what it meant to supporters that day.
We could do with a Bookeresque player right now. Not the most polished player to wear the shirt but 110% every time. Bassett could certainly pluck them from obscurity Some one told me, I can't vouch for this, but had he not signed for the Blades he was going to be a window cleaner? He certainly cleaned out a few forwards who crossed his path.
I think Tracey spooned one on his debut (I think we won 5-1) and proved himself to be great.
