Not talking about a break from football.or half time break .we need a few decisions to go our way for a change .we all know that. Sending offs missed penalties.major decisions not going our way.injuries.lack of transfer funds.to a certain extent transfer targets not going our way.this is not second season syndrome its just downrght bad luck main point from this we need our players to stay positive.and by calling them names or berating every mistake they make on this forum certainly wont help .lets stay positive utb

Yeah.

Don't think it's just bad luck. We just don't look the same in the way we play. All of our players need to be in top form for us to get results and i'm afraid too many are off their game. If we can get the new guys into our style and the present lads can up it , then we will be fine.

True.lets start with fulham .feel we still need that break to go our way .lucy deflection maybe for our first goal v fulham and move on from there

I can't agree on some of this. We've spent plenty and not played well enough. Only bit of bad luck we've had is the Egan sending off. Missing a penalty isn't bad luck, it's incompetence.

I think if we make ourselves victims then there's an excuse for not being good enough.

We are pissing in the big boys toilet now. We need big bollocks - and we've got them! There are very small margins between winning and losing in the PL. Last season (up to lockdown anyway) we were very lucky with injuries. We also got the breaks and won some very tight games by the odd goal. Ok VAR hated us, but we got through it. This season the injuries and sending off have played a big part. Also we are currently losing the very tight games by the odd goal.

We haven't become a bad side over night. As a consequence of the above we have lost a bit of confidence and not managed to get into our stride yet as an attacking force playing the "Sheffield United way".

It is going to be a long, hard season. Of that I have no doubt. But I think we will survive. We need to readjust and like the OP says, get a break or two. I'd love a goal off McB's arse in the final minute. Now is the time to dig in and keep strong.

We are Blades ⚔️⚔️⚔️

It's obvious and we all know this but we really do need to take it one game at a time starting with Fulham. It's a huge game, both teams need their first win. After the Fulham game we've got Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea, all tough games. Fulham have Palace, West Brom then West Ham. We need 3 points against Fulham.

I'd agree if we were say 12 games in, but after 4 games I think it's fair to say that the Egan sending off was very significant for our season so far. We played 80 mins of the Villa game with 10 men and lost him for the Leeds game where he would have had that twat Bamford in his pocket. Also, ok I agree about the pen and not being attributed to bad luck, but come on that save was fantastic. Also, I think the Villa guy who fouled Bash should have been red carded.

I agree with you about the 'victim' mentality though. Let's not be victims - let's roll up our sleeves and show the bastards.

I do agree, it's a bloody strange time I think preseason has a lot to do with it, the players not getting a proper break, short preseasons, look at all the results so far, it isn't just us. Btw, what's the crack there with the spaces and full stops? See a few people post like this and it makes it really hard to read.

Agree. Think that the saying goes that you make your own luck. Giving the ball away cheaply is not what got us to the prem, spending most of the game without the ball and chasing down the opposition will lead to us making mistakes and giving away chances.

We've gotta let the handbrake off a bit, the grinding out of results just isn't working so far. We've got to get on the front foot more and attack teams, we've shown when chasing matches that we can cause problems for other teams.

Plus it's fucking dire to watch a team that is more interested in keeping a clean sheet than going out to attack and win matches.

Villa have had loads of good fortune going there way we need some of that

You'd think no better opposition than Fulham at the Lane to do this against

And again we got a penalty for nothing.

Against the champions no less.

Happy yet or is VAR still against us?

We got some reyt breaks there.. When scotch bobble head got a tap in he fucked it again.. This season.. We've had some killer VAR go our way..

Somebody needs to learn how to smash it into mcburnie head so hard he gets it on target..

But should have had another when Berge was challenged.

So is it against us? Fuck knows.

Is it inconsistent toss that has done nothing to improve the game? Absolutely

The one we got was fortunate however Berge was fouled in the box and there was a clear handball from Baldock's Cross! Neither given...
