Some of them certainly need a kick up the arse, lets hope some of this sank in....

The Blades players held a man to man inquest with themselves and the coaching staff, led by Kevin Blackwell, for almost an hour straight after the loss to Charlton.
The United boss, who on Saturday morning agreed terms for the rest of the season with Kevin McCabe, said: "We held a team meeting, opinions were aired and the lads were brutally honest and I think the lads recognise that they haven't done enough.
"Sometimes players have to take responsibility and I asked them why their season has gone like it has. Bryan Robson left some good players behind and it can be too easy just to blame a manger when results keep going against you.
"Too many of them are living on reputations they have earned in the past but maybe they are not deserving of that reputation with this Club at this time - they certainly haven't enhanced their reputations.
"It's time we stopped just talking about the problems and messing about because it has been going on for too long. Players have to show they have the balls to play for this Club and I am questioning if some of them have the courage to play at Bramall Lane.
"If they can't handle it I will find out just who can, so players' futures at this Club are under threat and if things don't improve in the next couple of games there will have to be changes.
"Lad on the Kop can see it wasn't good enough and they are the ones who work all week, pay to watch us and would give up a week's wage just to get the chance to play for Sheffield United.
"I was embarrassed and to be fair I think the players are, too. If they are not, they will find out pretty soon that they should be. The fans were great because they could have turned against the team as they have done on occasions in the past."

Blackwell is throwing down the hammer and rightly so. If the players think they're going to think they'll do well by just simply turning up and relying on their reputation to do the job then they're wrong.

As I said in another thread, the damage done during the Robson era will be hard to repair, but Blackwell doesn't want to let that get in the way and who can blame him?

He's certainly sayin gall the right stuff, but with a team with less and less motivation each games, it's going to be really difficult for him to get them to play like a quality side like we did under Warnock. Going off subject a bit, i was abit pissed off the fans boo'd both first and second half

He is saying all of the right things but following a season of requests for the players to stand up an be counted i fear that this will once again fall on deaf ears.

I haven't seen an improvement from one game to the next this seaon and that doesn't give me much hope that we can turn things around in the short term.

if Mr Blackwell wishes to continue with the high temp (read long ball) approach then Beattie and Sharp have to be dropped and Hulse and Shelton have to be brought in.

Think instead of just working hard on defence, players need to work for each other. They all seem to watch the guy with the ball instead of moving to create an option.
