Simonsen 6 - didn't have much to do but saw three go by. Was the third his fault?
Calve 5 - a few nice touches but ragged by their winger in the latter stages.
Taylor n/a - got crocked for his troubles when taking part in United's best move of the first half.
Nos 3 - he's not funny anymore.
Bartley 7 - yet again our best defender.
Monty 7 - did what he does best.
Reid 7 - many awful crosses but all forgiven for the one moment of class to set up Evans. Wonderful footballer.
Yeates 4 - kept trying but failed to deliver anything of worth into the box.
Quinn n/a - injured early but did little to warrant his start.
Britton 6 - quietly efficient.
Ched 8 - two goals, worked hard in a thankless role. Huge credit to him.

Lowton 6 - decent effort on the wrong side of defence. One sublime driven pass.
Ward 5 - pace was useful. Still rusty.

Ref 5 - some very odd decisions. Notably a penalty for a foul outside the box, and the lack of a red for Nos. Dealt ok with the giant ruck.

You're giving Quinn too much credit. He had 45 minutes to make an impression, but did absolutely nothing.

For the first half, all the team deserved nothing above 4, the second half, Reid, Evans and Yeates were impressive.

Yeates had possibly his worst game in a while, but thats partly due to Hull closing him and Reid down very quickly for the most part. Their were always two players at them for the most part, mind you he played some balls straight at one of those players a few times when better options were available. Rather poor defending, I honestly thought Bartley had one of his worst games (made far too many mistakes in possesion when very simple easy options were available), but he was still as twice as solid as Nos in first half, Nos did better second half but he really can't get away with two many games like that, I'd like to see Batth get a game over him.

Ched needs someone alongside from the get go, first half he played well won balls when the Hull players weren't climbing all over him, and played some flicks on for a non-existent partner, second half we saw him at his best. Ward may have not done all too much but his pace dragged that extra player away from Ched which gave him more freedom, great header from a stunning Reid ball saw him raise in confidence, and that was another great finish for his second goal, but oh my... the defending for the goals in first half and for the third , the third shouldn't have even been Simmo's problem, our defenders firstly just followed their breaking player (one of these players even came from a diagonal position to stop and join another player on a mad chase), and secondly he shouldn't have even got over the half way line, we really should have given away a free kick... followed by some of that Hull time wasting from their first half, by standing over the ball. Entertaining but frustrating, once again another woeful first half, we deserved a point but that defence really needs sorting out in January.

Oh one more thing, Caretaker Manager and coaching staff that fucking kick off doesn't work.

We've been doing the 'chip it out to the wing from kick-off, Oh shit its gone out' for years now. Three times today, not including all the other passes into the advertising boards...

I know we have thats what makes it even more frustrating, and we failed it twice today I thought we'd have the smarts to just try and play football from the kick off on the third.

depends on what odds the bookies gave you i suppose :)

Who ever we get needs to change that. :)

Why would a wonderful footballer constantly perform so many dreadful crosses and passes?

Because blades fans love a scapegoat and also love deciding the sun shines out of certain players arses. For example, had Montgomery put the shit balls in that Reid did then he would get hammered for it and any decent ball would be classed as a fluke. Yet players like Reid will get applauded by certain fans for shit balls as it was " the right idea " yet another player ( monty for example ) would get roasted by the same certain fans for playing exactly the same ball.

The ball that Reid put through for Evans against Swansea was classed as "premiership quality" etc, but had Monty or Quinn put that ball through it would have been described as a lucky punt

Because he had an off day with his crossing perhaps? But if a wide man can lay on one goal a game, he's worth his place. Not only that, his control, composure and general passing were a class above everyone else.

I love Monty more than most but even I have to admit that it would have been a lucky punt :D

Anyone is on a different planet if they believe Monty deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Reid. No one can be serious if they think Monty is capable of the pinpoint cross to Ched's head for the our first goal today a la Andy Reid.

Cant comment on the second half cos we were all in the Sportsman where we should have stopped before such a shower of shit spoiled my xmas

Is it possible to give footballers a wage freeze for two years, and put them on 4 day weeks with no bonus, then lay them off the week after xmas like the rest of us, even if they are good at doing the job they were employed to do. Come on everybody, give em hell and let them know what passion and loyalty is.
