£40m isn't overpriced for him, according to this thread.after watching the Everton defence get the run around the other day .. is Stones really that good??
If you are meaning JB I thought we'd already agreed that was a bad move, but wasn't this regime and wasn't league one. After not selling their free scoring centre forwards until they got out of league one.
It is, it's a steal.£40m isn't overpriced for him, according to this thread.

Other than that I can't remember us selling a free scoring centre forward while in league one. The only one we've had was a twat who cost us promotion with his mysoginistic
Do you think selling Murphy was a mistake?I mean that they didn't selling their best players generally, like we have for the last 3 close seasons.
Trundle and Lambert went nowhere until the job was done, just like Rhodes and Beckford before them. Nick Blackman (yes, not as free scoring but certainly better than what we replaced him with) was out of the door in 5 months for a million quid. We were in the promotion places when he went. 3 months of Forte and Ironside later and we're losing at Yeovil.
There are many factors that have ensured we have stayed in league one for 5 seasons. Ched Evans, terrible choices of managers and injuries at bad times have all played a part. But selling our best players is another key factor. Other clubs have not done this and reaped the rewards. I wish they could have been braver this year.

He was indeed, but he did also submit a transfer request saying he wanted out of the club and the money was substantial.Yes. He was under contract and we didn't need to sell him (according to Phipps). Given these facts, I'd rather have kept him given what he brings to the table in terms of goals and assists.

We didn't need to sell, but the player wanted out, we had options to cover him within the squad, the player had been out of form for a while and was inconsistent and the offer was over most sensible folks market value of the player.Money - We didn't need to sell, according to the club
Transfer request - so?
