I ummed and arrrd about this. There are sooo many that you could argue a most convincing case for. Sharp, Coutts, Fleck, Moore, Duffy, Bash, which one? In the end, and the deciding factor was his consistency and improvement on last season, I chose Freeman. However, I now feel disloyal to SuperSharp. Great captain's season from him. Then again, what about disloyalty to..........Oh bugger it! You get the pic....!

In the few games I have watched he has been superb.

The way we play, that fluid interchanging and quick passing ball/retention has been key to our success. While we played a passing game under Clough and Adkins, at times it was pass by numbers - with all players static until the inevitable chip into no mans land.

The biggest driver for this as been our midfield three, so it has to be one of them for me. I love Duffy but Fleck and Coutts when they play together are just playing at a level beyond league 1. I'd like to give them a joint POTY! But totally get why others would vote for Sharp or Freeman. Could easily be any of those mentioned.

Billy would be very disappointed if he didn't win . Not saying he would spit his dummy out , but could put in a transfer request , kick the club cat , put two fingers up to the Kop . For peace and tranquility it's got to be Billy .

It has been fully a team effort, and as others have said even off the bench others have made positive contributions, but if you have to pick one player then Sharp is the stand out, not only his goals but rising to the task of captain that leads by example and gives everything for this club, with him and Wilder we have two people who see this beautiful Football club the way we do and in football that is very rare.
