Great that there's so many yo choose from. I can't argue again't Baldock, Bash, Egan or JOC. All essential and improved on last season - which I can't quite say for some of the others who've done fantastic.
Think Egan just nicks it for me - probsbly his position is currently the hardest for us to cover.

Legs, lungs, heart and mind. Couples defensively and in attack in complete harmony and understanding with at least 3 other players. Add a dash of mad skills to unsettle and baffle opposition players. Who else can do all that, and how do we find a replacement for him?
Basham also has the advantage of being a thoroughly nice bloke and a great team mate/player, who wears his blades heart on his sleeve.

I have a feeling that the engine will carry on running, long after the bodywork falls apart. He, above all others, epitomises what the club is all about.

I’m not sure this has ever been mentioned before but Basham played for the England Colleges National Team when he was about 17/18, he only got in that squad because another lad signed pro terms somewhere else. He was possibly the last player out of that group you would have expected to make a career from the game. The fact that he’s now a Premiership footballer is a testament to his desire and determination.

One reason he’s so lovable is his Bambi on ice persona. But his technical ability and football intelligence are right up there.
