Play Bogle up front?

Maybe not a striker but how about LWB. Was thinking this last night. If we keep Baldock we should really be playing both of them. Bogle loves to cut in on his right. Him LWB when JOC is back making those over/under laps could be chaotic in the championship
We have played him there the game baldock got injured then he moved the rwb do lowe could go lwb.

we need to get baldock and bogle in the team both should be automatic choices

Yeah Bogle is wasted in defence, don't want him to have that responsibility Baldock can do that and he's more established in that regard.

Jono...look no further we have found our striker coach...when can you start coaxingstar?
Nah mate, not me, besides I'm more your cultured midfielder, and I can use both feet quite comfortably too which is why it infuriates me how professional footballers can be so one-footed or can't make a simple 10 yard pass!

If he played up front he'd just be another sheffield united striker that looks crap because they're getting no service.

The only reason didzy looks good is because he drops back to get on the ball himself. We've had the same problem every time we've played the flat midfield 3 right back to when we first tried it in the championship

It's bollocks anyway. As a consequence of the previous attempts, other conditions/factors relevant to the outcome will change. For example if i'm throwing trying to his a tree by throwing a stone at it, and i miss, it's not insanity to throw the stone again and expect improved results as i am now better able to line my aim up accurately as a result of the miss. In a more relevant example, the more a football team plays together in a particular formation they should get to know how to play in said formation a bit better each time thus making it rational to expect an improved outcome.

That said, P23 W3 D2 L18 tells its own story.

But that's not doing the same thing. That's changing your aim. To meet the criteria of the quote, you'd have to throw the stone in exactly the same way.

I mean, it's flawed when it comes to our situation anyway, but not for the reason you suggest.

I would let him have license to do that or whatever he wanted really. Sort of like a 'False 9', where he is listed on the team sheet as a forward but in fact doesn't play as a conventional one.

It’s all about Rocket League at the moment for me. 2 games a night when I get the chance to sit down. I’d start an ultimate team and play fifa but it frustrates me when everyone else has Messi and Ronaldo and I’ve got Oli Burke and Demarai Gray up top 😂.

I wish I could get away with a PS5 in the office but unfortunately it might be a step too far and I’d definitely lose my edge on employee based problems if I sat pissing about on the computer all day. Have to keep the minions happy and working hard 😉
I think once you get into Rocket League then in a very weird way it feels more like playing football than football games. It's pretty much 5-a-side style rotation and quick attack to defence.

Gear Club is this weeks’ recommendation from the lad. It sounds a bit like Gran Turismo to me. I’ll have a look tonight when he’s asleep!

Thought this was a joke, like playing Jags in net.

How is this anything like putting an outfield player in goal?

That's a joke 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

Tammy Abraham was saying last night that he used to be a defender, look at him now.

I think there is merit in the idea of playing Bogle in a more attacking role - he certainly seems more comfortable there than when defending .

As others have said , ideally we need to accommodate both him and George and this can easily be achieved in my favoured 4-1-3-2 using Bogle as right side midfield where I think he would excel .

Also , given Norwood recent drop in form I think Fleck should be given a run in the holding midfield role , for which he appears to have all the right credentials . Based on the above , my ideal line up with everyone fit would be :-

.......................Ramsdale ....................

Baldock. Bash. Egan . O’Connell
..................... .Fleck..............................
Bogle .............Didzy. .......Osborn.........
.................Sharp.....Burke ...................

I think that line up would give a lot of teams a few problems and go a long way towards overcoming the lack of positive play in the final third which has plagued us all season .

make the most of him for the rest of the season, he will be the first poached close season, terrific prospect

He’s good at running with the ball at his feet in the opposition box and his finishing is good. Where a lot of strikers earn their crust is playing with their back to goal with a 6’6” centre half climbing all over you which I think he would struggle at. Keep him where he is as he’s playing fantastic.

I can see why you might say this but if we play him up front, then we reduce the potential goals in the team.

If we can have a player who is at wing back and is scoring goals then we still have an opportunity to play a striker who might also be a goal getter. You put Bogle up top and you replace a striker with Baldock who might get you one, mayb le two a season.

Obviously if you end up with so many injuries then he becomes a legitimate option but I’d leave him where he is as goals all over the team Is a massive advantage especially when well into the season when you have to grind things out and not everyone will be on top form.

Just my two cents 👍
