In an intelligent & rational discussion of society I would normally refrain from any mention of that perennially provocative concept of "class".

However I could not help but notice the TV "crowd close-uos" of the rustbucket residents this lunchtime.

I have rarely if ever been treated to such a vision of what would once have been termed the lumpen proletariat , but nowadays , following the collapse of local menial work , is the acknowledged underclass consisting of what Ian Dury called blockheads.
