I believe the votes are cast first week in March.

How many are we going to get in there vs how many should we get in there?

For me

Henderson
Stevens
Egan
Norwood
Sharp

Should be shoe ins.

Is it really beyond possibility to have the vote at an appropriate time? You know, like the last month of the season?

Sharp should get in, but it's been an outstanding season for strikers in the Championship - at least 6 will get more than 20 and at least 3 will get 25+.

Norwood has a good chance because the stats support him.

Stevens should have a good chance but isn't as trendy as Jamal Lewis or Kieran Gibbs.

Henderson should be in with a shout but Darren Randolph will have the conceded the fewest.

At least one of our back 3 should get in - probably Egan.

We should get at least 2 in, maybe 3.

A bit previous, surely, with about twelve games left - why now, when a whip round of emails at Easter would sort it?

You’re comparing them to the rest of the league, so it’s really hard to say. Despite how good they’ve been for us there has been some superb players in this division this season.

I expect the team to look somewhat like this

Randolph
Aarons - Zimmerman - Egan - Stevens
Pablo Hernandez - Vrancic - Klich - Wilson (Prem golden boy)
Pukki - Sharp

Jansson, Stiepperman, Dawson, Gayle, Livermore, Henderson, Norwood, JOC, Abraham, Che Adams and Rodriguez could all make it though

I have no doubt a couple of Frank Lampards boys will make it.

Egan, Norwood and Sharp should be in there.

Bielsa will probably get the manager nod.

Sure, all that can be done now, but voting now?

Nah

They have always done it this early. It’s why I always think the football writers award voted for in April is more accurate but is limited to three awards, Player, young player and Manager.

I may be wrong but when we got promotion in 2006 I don’t think we got a single player in the team of the year.

( I think Reading got about 6 in that season)

It'll be something like this.

Randolph

Aarons Zimmermann Jansson Gibbs

Klich Norwood Vrancic

Pukki Sharp Adams

One thing's for sure, you could build one hell of a team from players currently in the Championship. Be nice to do just that if we get promoted...

Which players would you look to bring in if you had the prem money Ricky?
I'd like to see Leroy fer but I admit I've not seen a lot of him
Harry Wilson? Jay da Silva ? The lad at Wigan is it brown ?

To be honest I don't think we could afford most of the desirable ones - the £15m bracket would be beyond us.

Robinson from Preston is one I'd look at. The way he was going before his injury he'd have been in the PFA team.

Jake Cooper would be gettable and is one who'll develop.

Getting some of the current Championship loanees would be smart as well - the likes of Wilson and Abraham are ready to step up a level.

Dee was due to sign for villa on deadline day wasn't he?
Sure the fee wasn't that big

Fer? The wages would be the problem with him, but if he was within budget he'd be a great type to bring in for central midfield.

I'd look at other Swansea players too, namely Roberts, James and McBurnie. They're in frantic selling mode and could be exploited.

Oh and what a laugh it would be to snare John McGinn from Villa. Probably unrealistic though.

( I think Reading got about 6 in that season)

Jagielka was in it:

GK Marcus Hahnemann (Reading)
DF Gary Kelly (Leeds United)
DF Ibrahima Sonko (Reading)
DF Joleon Lescott (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
DF Nicky Shorey (Reading)
MF Ashley Young (Watford)
MF Steve Sidwell (Reading)
MF Phil Jagielka (Sheffield United)
MF Jason Koumas (Cardiff City)
FW Marlon King (Watford)
FW Kevin Doyle (Reading)

In the same season, a young lad by the name of 'B Sharp' made the League 1 team.

I fully expect most of the team to comprise Leeds and Norwich players with the odd exception e.g. Abraham, Wilson and it wouldn't bother me one jot if Utd don't have anyone. Realistically, Sharp might make it and possibly Egan but I'd be surprised if there are any others. The longer Utd stay under the radar and everyone continues to expect them to drop away the better IMHO

No chance on Henderson. He’s cost us 5 points late in games that I can think of, two in high profile televised games (Villa & Leeds, also Stoke). He’s begun to be targeted as a weak link and does look shaky on crosses. He’s a great character, a terrific shot stopper and has plenty of potential but I doubt he’s been anywhere near the best goalkeeper in the division.

The rest of your shouts should all be in the running.

If there aren't at least half a dozen pig players in that team, it will be a travesty.................................... according to the pigs that is!

But we’ve got a pub team and none of our players would get in any other XI in the division?

My guess is Sharp will be one of the subs, he's the only one that they'll have heard of
Villa and West Brom will have loads in even though their shit

I think you need to take the old Red n White specs off.
We supposedly have Average players.
Billy will be about the only one.

Grealish appearing would show it up as a travesty
