Apparently the great dane has told press that he wouldn't rule himself out of the chance to manage us referring to us as "a great football club" however he also said that as of yet he hadn't applied for the position.

Schmeichel has just finished his coaching badges and is looking for his first break into management.

No thank you, thanks for the compliments pete but we've already had a failed gamble on a debutant in management which has backfired so for now we need experience in charge at the club however if you think we are a great club then go away and get the experience and come back in a few years! Based on United's churning of gaffers in recent years it's an opening you can bank on opening up again several times over the years to come.

I would invite him to come in and be goalkeeper coach though, If he could help our keepers be better than they are then thats a plus.

Don't think he would be interested Stanny mate. Don't think he's gonne through all the effort of his coaching badges for a goalkeeping coach job. He will manage his country before too long I wish I could punt on that now I would slam £20 down.

We'd be better off with this one.

As a Peter Schmeichel lookalike (I have been bought pints in Manchester by people insisting I'm him), I think this would be a great appointment. As a Blades fan, I think it would be a disaster.
