So coming back from a goal down at home to draw 1-1 isn't really what were used to as Blades.

The last few years have in the most part been better than this. But for one horrific fall out of the Championship and one season in the premier league, we've sat in the top half of the championship and league one for most of the last 10 years.

This season has been the worst for years and perhaps if we'd had a Clough type from June this year then things might've been different.

We are where we are. Were seemingly coming out of a bad patch but even with The princes money lets not expect to be world class.

There was good reason for optimism pre Oldham. Were a side in decent form and a win should've been on the cards. But we apparently played bad and somehow salvaged a draw. In the end this is a positive.

Were not out of the woods yet, but we remain unbeaten and with a busy few weeks of tough games we need to be satisfied with 1 pt over none at times.

Sure some players are not as good as we'd like but this is where we are. But perhaps they fit he system better even with a bad performance by individuals we got a point. Not the 3 we wanted but we have to move on quick

If you were watching them for the first time yesterday you would think that apart from Baxter they are all bloody useless!
Even Long looked awful yesterday and whilst Maguire played ok he is very pedestrian
We were lucky that their 'second' goal was disallowed as there would have been no way back from 0-2 !
For all the first half players struggled with the basics, keeping hold of the ball, constructing attacks and defending !
The second half was better but they still looked second best for the most part - Mr Clough cannot work miracles
This team needs wholesale changes not tinkering !!

He is ridiculously slow but thank goodness his timing is good. One particular Oldham break down the left in the 1st half saw Maguire well beaten for pace but the timing of his tackle was superb. I'm still at a loss to think where all the hype around him comes from. He's good, but he's playing in league 1 after all.

I think stomping off at h/t is a very underrated talent. To me it far outweighs the reactionary flouncing when the oppos score with around ten to go and even that 5 to 3 moment when you think, fuck it, I'm staying in here. It's a culmination of 45 minutes of quiet seething and brainbaking where frustration turns to anger, then despair and finally, the realisation that the only way out of this infernal torture is to cut out and head for a pub where warmth, comfort, solace, drinks and Jeff Stelling await to salve your nerve ends and bring them back from the ceiling into your body.

I've done all three, and will probably do all three again, but is there a fourth way, a set so cliquey even I've not joined it? Person that leaves of their own volition during the first half, I'm looking for you and your story.
