Can all "Blades" just take a little perspective on this season.People slagging Wilder off is ridiculous. The previous owners dilly and dallied before bringing him back, should have been employed after the Arsenal away defeat, we all new then, that he had been lined up.But no, the Prince delayed , he didn't want to pay Hecky off. When he does eventually bring him back our fate is all but sealed.
He tries to organise the squad for this season and has players lined up as early as possible, but for reasons we arnt told, honestly, the take over keeps getting delayed.Pre season friendlies are in progress, Chesterfield away was like watching the under 18's.About 10 days before kick off players start being brought in, majority of whom arnt fit from previous season and Wilder has to do another preseason with most of them.
Season kicks off -2 points and within 3 games we are above the Pigs, who have had coach of the year in place for months.Wilders Team make a brilliant start to season with a squad of about 16 players which includes 2 or 3 youngsters and no chance of resting any body.
Pigs game comes along and find of the season and Captain gets targeted for some bad tackles and presto he's out for the Season closely followed by our Dominent Centre Half, again for the Season. On top of all this comes the shock of Geoge's death and the takeover goes through almost half way through the season.Jan transfer window arrives and he is allowed to strengthen a knackered squad, not necessarily his 1st choices.Further injuries hit us with Keiffer, Souzar Campbell, both right backs etc.
Taking all this into account we arrive early April Top of the League with points to spare.
Agree this last 7 days it's gone tit's up, but can you really say it's all Wilders fault.
Give him a break, get behind the team on Friday and let's see what happens.
Almost 60 years I've had a season tkt on the kop, it's never been any better than it has since Wilder cam e back 2017.Its what being a Blade is.
All you selfish, entitled little boys, grow up, grow some balls and if you still don't like it fxxk off to the Pig sty .

He's a grown man with 1000+ games as a manager. He has made it clear on plenty of occasions that he doesn't think the supporters know anything about football and that they should leave him to it.

Does he really need so many people standing up for him, telling people they shouldn't criticise?

I'm not asking anyone to stand up for him, I'm trying to point out what he has had to deal with since coming back, could have had an effect on the club in general and finally now the pressure is on, it's having an effect on him and some players.
Fitness of many of the players has been an issue, playing carrying injuries due to lack of numbers.
Stop thinking we are entitled to win anything, we are not, and ever have been.

When did wanting your team to play well, and win become "entitlement"? If fans are so much worse now, why are crowds higher? Why do crowds drop as performances get worse or clubs go down divisions?

He's a football manager, the position comes with the glory when you win and the shit when you don't. At all levels and at all clubs

Because those who think they should have everything their own way (Win every match, get promotion) ie entitled, when the going gets tough, stop going.

I'm not seeing people saying United should win every game though. Just that it's been a tough watch this season and, despite having good attacking players the lack of goals, coupled with the drop off in defending means this run was always possible. But nothing has really changed attack wise between August and now.

The stuff after the game yesterday was unprofessional and he's paid to manage the team, not to be a fan. The people calling for him to be sacked are daft but the people wondering why there's not more chances created? I think that's completely fair.
