Outgoing? Peck

If we can be smart, extend and give him a better contract, hold off until the summer, we can increase his sale value. If we're smart.
I think that’s the area we’ve failed in a few times getting into a situation where we’ve not put them on pro contacts soon enough and they’ve slipped through our fingers.

I'm not saying this is click bait nonsense but saying Jack Lester helped Peck with his shooting after his fluffs last season has certainly got my bullshit senses tingling!
I’d say it the last month his shooting has improved Lester left 3 months ago

You're right, though failed is probably a little strong. The two areas we've learned lessons from
a) Selling players and not having the next replacement ready to step up or identified to buy (Brighton and Brentford have have done this very well)
b) Not tying the players into long term contracts to keep their value at the highest point

In the case of b) we've still managed to mitigate these losses with sell on percentage clauses

The reality is that if a player wants a move and someone offers an acceptable price then they go .
Newcastle couldn't hold on to Isak despite being the worlds richest club .
It would surprise me to see Peck , Sereki , and Blaster all move on in the next 6 to 12 months - Not that I'd want it but I accept its very likely.

If Blaster gets fully fit and back to his best it’s difficult to see him here next season without the parachute money .. we are going to have to sell I am afraid

Peck has done very well. Why sell him ? A replacement of the same quality and potential would be difficult to find, would take time to integrate into the squad, and wouldn't be cheap.

Any players we do sign, with a long term view, need to have the clear potential to play in the Premier League.

Am I still the only one who would happily sell him if we meant we could keep Hamer?! As whilst peck has performed well recently, one has the ability to turn a game in a heartbeat, the other has played well in a couple of games….
The team misses Peck when he's injured more than they do Hamer.

Parachute payments run dry in the Summer, which means we'll have to lower our expectations. To be self sustaining, we need to sell players.

Peck's deal expires in 2028, so selling him in 2026 is probably our best opportunity of getting a maximum return.
We're already going to take a hit on Hamer this Summer by hanging onto him a season too long.

The options would need to be weighed up, should we get a bid and depending what the bid is compared to his contract status and his ceiling.

We have to be realistic, that if a bid it ticks enough boxes then the club will make the sensible decision to sell, that goes for any player. It protects the business and selling talented players allows the club to grow, like we've shown in the past. We didn't get to the Premier league for the first time under Wilder on luck and freebies, we had to sell several players to fund the progress - DCL and Ramsdale in League one, Brooks in Championship

The rider on that is if a player really doesn't want to leave and isn't bankrupting the club with salary demands and the desire to run their contract down, then of course we don't have to sell.

Yeh, let's keep selling our best players😒

A fair challenge.
We have a £20-30m hole to fill in our budget appearing in the summer. Maybe even as much as £50m if we’re wanting to go for promotion/playoffs next season.
Without selling players, what is your proposal for covering it?
If you have a way of doing it without cashing in on high value assets I’m sure the club would love to know about it.

You keep posting that
I've seen you post it severa times and it's a fair assumption but it is only. An assumption
Maybe the owners will supplement the parachute income , maybe even do it by saddling the club with debt
But let's wait and see
