Outgoing? Peck

Absolutely no chance the fee would be remotely close to Hackney. Hackneys the best midfielder in the league, Peck is a long way off that. He’s a good young player with a very good ceiling, but he’s nowhere near the top 5 midfielders in the league. Also not saying he won’t get there though.

With some proper coaching and patience he could be bottom premier league/top of the championship easily, but as others have said, it’s hard to say what he actually is, he’s not a monster in the middle of the park, he’s also not a free scoring midfielder that provides assists and goals. He's a bit of a jack of all trades, master of none. With a modern approach to coaching, I think he’ll find his niche and do well.
You know this how? Hackney is 2 years older than Peck and has one year on his contract so can sign a pre contract in January. He may go for more than Peck but to say 'absolutely no chance the fee will be remotely close to Hackney' is incorrect in my opinion.

Players with north of 60 first team appearances before they turn 21 are pretty rare and mostly very good players.

A quick google suggests Peck is in pretty decent company and will ply his trade in the PL for most of his career.

All playing c50 championship games before 21st Birthday:

Jayden Bogle
Archie Gray
Max Aarons
Ben Godfrey
Jude Bellingham
Hayden Hackney
Alex Scott
Jonathan Rowe
Eberchi Eze
Will Hughes
Adam Wharton
Harvey Elliot
Joao Pedro

Granted there’s also a few probably didn’t live up to early promise, but this is an inevitability (Tom Ince, Ryan Woods etc)

We should be confident in landing a over £10m as an absolute minimum, with £12-15m probably being market value.

Considering all the dross we have in the squad, Sydie is definitely one we want to keep. He's got his flaws but overall don't want to see him go. For me the release fee needs to be min 15 million. FFS Cannon was 10?
Cannon is not a 10m player we just get our pants pulled down when it comes to transfer fees, Brewster, McBurnie, Cannon

If this video was of a player that's not ours, we'd all be demanding we sign him.

He's more box to box midfielder than a forward playmaker or a deep lying playmaker. He's a box to box midfielder.Clueless playing him out of position has skewed a few perspectives imo. He has an excellent touch, balance, feet, weight of pass and has the ability ( a more a recent thing tbh) of making a good third man run. He also has a pre assist in him. His mentality and off the ball work is amongst the best in the squad and has been since he broke into the side.

I think as he continues to develop and grow into the men’s game he could add the ability to be a deep lying playmaker to his bow.

That’s one of the roles he played for the 21’s with Blaster and Brooks either side of him as the box to box players. He has the technical ability and the passing range touch and vision to do it we just haven’t seen that consistently for the senior side yet. It might never come but if he can work out how to create himself more time on the ball in congested situations and keep his head up he has the technical ability to hit every blade of grass on the pitch with his passing.

I’d be fairly confident the fees commanded would be similar, but actual fees received would be massively different. Ones the best midfielder in the league, the others got a very good ceiling. Theres a massive difference between paying for quality, and potential quality.

Heard from two sources that what you say about quadruple his wages and Brentford is true .
Most transfer fees are undisclosed but it does not stop our local guys claiming exclusives. Let’s hope it is a good fee and we have a healthy add on of around 20%

As much as it's nice to know how much profit your favourite player(s) have made for the club, it's a double edged sword. It's tough to drive a hard bargain when the person at the car boot can see your pockets bulging with notes.
