Any suggestions?
Will you get a ticket if you park at the Tesco Extra even if you have a club card?
Where's the best street parking area
Which pubs are people heading for (real beer please)
Ta

If it's anything like Sheffield Tesco, it'll be camera'd up. Woe betide anyone who parks for the football, but it's free reign if you want to race your shitty Corsa around the car park witht the rest of your genitally challenged mates.

You can park for about 3 quid at the hotel near the ground (forget its name), I did this last season and it was fairly painless to get out after the game.

Lots of street parking and a 5 minute walk from the Lockford Inn (google maps is your friend).

I always park there, can't vouch for the pub though.

UTB

If you get there early enough park on Highfield Lane near Newbold School (now Outwood Academy I think). Walk to the bottom of there and turn right and the ground is at the bottom of the first left.

Decent pubs near the ground that aren't full of local mongols slavering for "dee dah" blood are slim pickings and if you want decent parking and a good pub near the ground you'll struggle. They normally open the Lockkeeper for away fans but it's a chain pub and a bit shit. It's the other side of Tesco and not easy to get to on foot.

1 option for you would be to park near the roundabout at the bottom of the Dronfield bypass if you can (maybe look at Avenue Road or the Methodist church 5th turn all the way around the roundabout then immediate right again). From there walk to the Red Lion as it's Blade friendly due to a few of the local Blades drinking in there. Derby Tup is the best pub for ale selection but will be "Tarn" only.

Best option if you don't have to drive would be get yourself to Chatsworth Rd (Brampton Mile) up the top end towards Morrisons and have a few beers in the Britannia and Rose & Crown then get a taxi to the ground from there (10/15 mins taxi). Just ring ahead to a pub and they should let you know if they plan on being open as they used to make them close for the Sheffield teams visiting. The Victoria on Victoria Street West might also be worth a call, landlord (Howard) is a decent bloke and might open early if he knows a few are coming and he's not on the golf course.

All pubs on Brampton serve Brampton Brewery beer and a few pubs are owned by them and worth going to, problem is they tend to be the ones turning away football fans as they value their interior decor!

Avoid the Stonegravels (knuckle dragger central), St Helens (unless you want to buy drugs or stolen phones) and the Donkey Derby (wank name, wank pub).

Parked in the Tesco car park last year and though it took 15 mins or so to get out it was fine. There were no signs to stop football parking

As far as I'm aware it doesn't have cameras on the Tesco also just to let you know theres an exit in the very back corner of the car park (the bit that isn't underneath) which goes round the ground. I don't know what it is like on match day but you should be able to get out easier that way rather than the main entrance.

Correct to my knowledge, no cameras however wardens (whatever you want to call them) check and register the plate, 2 hour max stay allowed, so if you time it just about right, you can park there.

Failing that, park on the Tapton Estate on the opposite side of the Tesco roundabout, then you can walk underneath the roundabout, past the Casa hotel and to the ground

Would also recommend a pint in the Casa hotel too, lovely place

I got wankered in the Rose and crown on our last Xmas do.
Belgian blue was it's name, the rest is history!!

Park in Tesco. Ignore bollox about time limits.
As above, Derby Tup. mate of mine has it called Brendan. Just go there,no-one knows the difference between accents from south Sheffield to Chedsterfield. Good real ales and dead convenient for the ground.

An alternative option is to drink in Dronny. I know Gagey is opening the manor and theres 3 other decent pubs within a stone chuck. Enjoy a few hassle free pints around the village and then its about a £10 taxi to the ground. Or you can hop on the train into chez from Dronfield - its about a 40 minute walk to the ground from the station but there are about 4 decent pubs en route to break that up.

Brendan left a few months ago. Still a proper pub though.

I know there's quite a few heading down there so I hope they have a lot of staff on! :)

Red Lion, first pub after the end of the Dronny bypass, always full of Blades - might see you in there?
It'd be good to catch up with you J after all these years.
Not sure I'll be that side of town.

Looking like the Lockoford is a good shout
That alreight with you BornOnShoreham - can collect you from the station.

I live a couple of minutes walk from 2 of the finest real ale pubs in town. The Chesterfield Arms on Newbold Road and the Neptune Beer Emporium on St Helens Street.
They are about a 20 minute walk to the Prolapse.

You are better off parking in sainsburys, left at the roundabout instead of right!!;)

Take it you don't walk very fast then matey:p

Any fellow blades in Chez that fancy watching it on TV...........would be good if we all descended on one or two drinking holes, would be a better atmosphere for us all to enjoy.

As a blade that lives on Brampton, i can honestly say that I've never been turned away from a boozer down here, the footy will be on in the brit which is my local, the grouse, the barrel, maybe the anchor also, don't think there will be any issues in any of these.
Also getting to saltergate from the lockoford is easy, just walk under the underpass, which brings you out in testosterone carpark, if you take the path marked "tesco" that is.
Pottery lane is also good for parking, just behind/next to the bmw dealer, atleast your cars safe there n less traffic getting back on the Dronfield bypass.
