So Richie whats your best aspect? Is it speed.

Yeah man, speed

I was crying out for him to say this was key but his finishing was a blessing!

Sounded like Jon Forte

Is Richie the most laid back player to ever play for Sheffield United?

Need to conduct his interviews in a jazz club so they've got the right ambience.

Bash on double bass, Osborn on trumpet, Bill tickling the ivories, Wilder watching from the corner, making sure no-one touches his favourite girl, Sandra Berge.

Tony Agana on Tenor Saxophone :)

That was 5 minutes of my life I will never get back.

Interviewer asks question: player responds in completely generic terms.

Interviewer asks question: interviewee respectfully agrees.

We’ve learned nothing from that interview apart from that Retsos wants to stay here permanently.

I’m not having a go at them I’m really not, they’re speaking in their second or third language but fuck me, the premier league is so fucking watered down in terms of character. Nobody dares say anything and everyone is so media trained. Chris wilder is as close to a normal bloke as it gets and it makes him seem like a complete alien when he’s doing interviews and it actually counts against him in terms of big big jobs like the England manager role. What a weird world we live in.

‘We can’t hire him, he’s a human with opinions.’ Can you imagine Southgate saying he’s not particularly arsed about the winter break? No chance. His stock response: ‘I can see why some managers would like that, and keeping players fresh and happy is imperative. However, I can also see why some people are against this, as it spoils momentum for teams and the fans don’t like it, which is imperative. Every manager in the premier league (which is the best league in the world apart from the other leagues which are also fantastic) is incredible and I agree with every single one of them, even in the cases they completely contradict each other.’

It’s like watching the sims having conversations with each other. Bores me to tears. I know I’ve gone off on a tangent here but my point is that everyone is so fucking scared to offend anyone that nothing is actually said in these interviews. It’s got to the point where if it’s a player as a talking head I can just write the script for them and there’s literally no point in any of it. A 20 second snippet from ‘behind the blades’ where they’ve actually let their guard down is more valuable than an hour long Q&A these days.

Borin.
